TECH NOTES
The DVD contains two full length films including Drunken Tai Chi and Dynamo starring Bruce Li on either side of the disc. Video quality is below standard with fuzzy visuals and washed out colors. The audio is hideously mixed. Its too quiet, muffled and the worse than usual dubbing includes usage of American slang. Extras include a chapter index and about a dozen film previews.

The film really is a vast improvement when seen in this widescreen format. It was previously available from Ocean Shores video and the cropping was dreadful, top and bottom too, not just the sides of the picture. The sound on the DVD could use a little improving, the (horribly) dubbed voices sounded a little low and muffled compared to the (horrible) music and sound FX. There was one little edit that I noticed at 0:44:40: Donnie is learning to make quilts and falls off the table. The puppeteer offers to teach him puppetry, and he gets a shot in the backside from his wife. The DVD cuts a little before he falls (trimming some strange "quilt-table-dancing") and picks up with the puppeteer rubbing his butt as his wife scolds him (for the unseen offer to work with him, instead of her).

Thankfully, this film is presented in close to its original aspect ratio and looks pretty good!
