| Very cool movie. Chronicles the martial arts adventures of the son of a wealthy family. During the course of the movie, he transforms from an egotistic, overconfident boy who only thinks he has martial arts ability into a honorable man who does have martial arts ability. True character development, stunning sets and what is widely considered to be the most authentic martial arts content ever put into a movie. Don't expect to see fights in this movie without repercussions. You'll see lots of blood, serious pain and lots of bruises. This isn't to say this movie is a gore-fest. It's not. It's just very real and very authentic. It tingles the spine to watch. The final fight is simply a classic. This movie is timeless. Although it was made 17 years ago, it could have been made this year. |
