This movie is a golden oldie for me. Sure, some of the comedic bits are pretty stupid. And the references to Superman, Batman and James bond, etc. are totally out of place and anachronistic as hell. (These appear in the English dub. I don't know what is said in the Cantonese version.)

The budget was obviously pretty low, and the story not that great. So why do I like this movie? I'll probably have to chalk up a fair amount of my affection to nostalgia. But also the great chemistry between Leung Kar Yan and Philip Ko Fei.

And of course the fights, which are great--really great--although I wish there had been more of them. But the end fight is a hall of famer for sure. I remember watching this as a kid. And when Ko Fei broke out that horse style, I was mesmerized. I had never seen anything like it. And I don't think I have since.

But in any event. This is one of the few movies, where I will say that the end fight alone is worth the price of the movie... Leung Kar Yan's dragon style and Ko Fei's horse style versus Wang Lung Wei's hellfire fist: priceless.

YThere was no reason for me to write a seperate review because your review captured everything I was going to say to perfection. Stupid comedic bits really hurt this from being rated higher because as you said the action in this film is really great.William Giordanella

I really love this classic one, especially the final battle. You should have more of this kind of action!

Leung Kar Yan and Phillip Ko are at their best when they team up to fight Wong Lung Wei. One of the best films ever.

The ending of this movie alone is worth the price of the DVD...dragon fist, horse fist vs. hellfire style! Techniques that you rarely see performed by 3 kung fu greats makes this a must see!

Another fantastic Leung Kar Yan film which shows of his, and Phillip Ko's, skills against the talanted Johnny Wang. This is for every Leung Kar Yan fan who enjoyed "The Victim", "Thundering Mantis" and "Legend Of A Fighter". Like all those great films, it has another great face-off with a nice little plot twist at the end. This would have gotten a perfect 5/5 score if I already had not seen those films, (all are MUST-BUYS by the way). 4/5.
