The Buddha Assassinator All Content Used With Permission. ![]() This movie was hard to take seriously due to the main characters constantly having comic parts. I do not recommend this one at all. ![]() A mediocre kung fu movie starring (superkicker) Hwang Jang Lee as the bad guy. He is great and there are some good acrobatics as well. ![]() Congratulation, I found my first 5-star movie. I loved the story, the fighting styles and villain. The final fight scene was remarkable. This is a must-see.
![]() I like Meng Hoi. That is, I like Meng Hoi as a sidekick, as part of a duo, or as action choreographer. As a leading man, not so much. Sure he is funny, charming and a good screen fighter. But he just can't carry a movie. And in this one, his character is kind of an ass. So that doesn't help. Luckily Hwang Jang Lee is on deck as well, and gets his share of screentime as the villain. The fights are good. The story is nothing special, and the movie as a whole is a bit uneven. But it finishes strong, with a really cool end fight involving Hwang Jang Lee's three Lo Han fist styles versus Meng Hoi's Buddha fist. Not a must-have, but a decent flick worth checking out. If you wanna' see Meng Hoi versus Hwang Jang Lee in a better film, I would recommend HELL'S WINDSTAFF.
![]() Great performance by Hwang Jang Lee (one of my favourites). As usual he loses at the end because he's the bad guy, but he shouldn't have! Good action and HJL shows us again why he should be considered the best kicker of all time in martial arts movies! Highly recommended! Get a popcorn, sit and enjoy! -Roger Judd, Jr. (see my profile) ![]() Another solid performance from Hwang Jang Lee. Pretty good plot and some excellent martial arts action. Highly recommended. -William Giordanella (see my profile) ![]() Great movie. ![]() Hwang Jang Lee is the ultimate kicker in kung fu my opinion. When he is in his chamber practicing the Low Hand technique: WOW. The old teacher was good, but not good enough. The student--well Hwang is the villain, so you know the outcome. Forgot to mention the intro--that alone should let you know you are in for a treat. A must-have in any collection. -Kung Fu Classic Viewer (see my profile) ![]() Whenever the storyline follows the revenge factor, you have me; and it's refreshing to see new actors. I can't really get their names right, but they display a great knack for the styles of martial arts. And the villains--or should I say villain--should be given their just respect because their tenacity with killing helps the protagonist fullfil his full potential. This movie was great. ![]() This movie, which stars a low-profile kid, had quite a remarkable fight finale, with the youngster acquitting himself very well against the famous Hwang Jang Lee a.k.a Silver Fox. -Noel 'Bravo' Francis (see my profile)
