 | | | | | A poor print, evidently taken from late-night television, as is so often the case with Ground Zero; it even begins with some video distortion. This is a marvellous and memorable picture, and there are far better prints available, most of them in Mandarin with English subtitles. I recommend the Celestial or Deltamac prints. |

Distributor: Ground Zero
Chapters: 6
Picture: Of course this DVD is from an average VHS master and suffers from being very soft and poorly defined. That said, it is better than some of the other releases from Ground Zero's Shaw Brothers' range. So-so transfer with good dubbing.
Sound: Mono English dub.
Trailers: None.
Extras: None. |

 | | | | TECH NOTES:
Not the best transfer here. The mildly grainy image is further hampered by the presence of an ever-present strip of distortion at the bottom of the screen. The opening credits features a few seconds of warped image while the scene where Wei escapes the Tien family is too dark to see much detail. Sound quality is average, as is the dubbing. extras are non-existent. |
