Above average martial arts movie but not WOW FANTASTIC!. The storyline has so many twists that at one point you have no idea who are the bad and good guys. The action is very good. One of the rare appearances of Tsai Hung ("Chinese Boxer", "Shaolin Avengers") as a good guy. The fights are good but not Tan Tao Liang's best. His kicks (mostly his left leg, as usual) looked too choreographed sometimes. One interesting fact: probably Tan Tao Liang's only role as a bad guy! Actually, David Chiang, who has never been one of my favorites, outperforms Tan Tao Liang in this movie in my humble view. I really hated the ending though. The Blooded Treasure Fight showcased great martial arts, good acting skills and a wicked sense of humor. The plot twists and turns very skillful with betrayals and intrigues, my hat's of to the writer. Not to be left out is the choreographer of those wonderful fighting scenes which is on par with some of the greats, for example Five Deadly Venoms or even Young Master. The mistrust of and antics of David Chang adds the humor to top it off. All in All this movie isn't perfect but Hey!
