Below is an interesting email we got from a customer who said that "Ashes of Time" was released in America on DVD, but was butchered. Apparently the imported version we sell is much better.

"Hi, I got the Ashes of Time DVD [from HKFlix.com] and I just wanted to let you know that it's the real version. I had asked you before I bought it if it was the same as the version released in America through World Video and you didn't know because you hadn't seen it. I've seen both now and the one released [in America] is one of the worst DVDs I've ever seen. The transfer is horrible and the framing is really messed up. The sound is out of sync at times. Sometimes you see subtitles for 5 seconds and then you hear the person talking. Some parts are jumpy and have bad digital glitches. There are shots missing and pieces cut out. The whole transfer is way too dark so some things are too dark to even see. But the Hong Kong version that I bought from you is the real thing with a good transfer and the whole film is there. The subtitles are better and the image looks better and it's not missing anything. So if anyone asks like I did you can tell them for sure that the Hong Kong DVD is the only real version of Ashes of Time."
