 | | | | Another great 90's martial arts flick from the legendary Yuen Wo Ping. Michelle Yeoh is excellent and charming as Wing Chun, but Donnie Yen plays a very unusual role compared to his other films. For one, he's more clumsy and doesn't get to show any of his stuff at all in this film, except for one jump kick maybe. Our lead villain, Norman Tsui, is awesome as ever and does a great job as the intimidating bad ass. The action scenes are classic and will recieve multiple viewings. A great film overall and worth owning. | | AGREE? | READER COMMENTS | AUTHOR | | Y | | JV47842 |

 | | | | It is a great, funny movie with nice choreography. Yes there's not much of any real wing chun but it doesn't matter that much because it's ENTERTAINMENT--so the creators need to show some creativity, and in this case they really did. If you want to see reality then buy some instructional DVDs. But this is a great kung fu film. | | AGREE? | READER COMMENTS | AUTHOR | | Y | I loved this one also. Michelle Yeoh and Donnie Yen were great together! | Sgt. T |

 | | | | "Wing Chun" is another example of Yuen Wo Ping's solid fight choreography and over-the-top humor. People who are expecting a serious film will be disappointed. But fans who enjoyed films like "Iron Monkey", and "Tai Chi II" will be thrilled with the amazing fight sequences and performances from HK legends Michelle Yeoh and Donnie Yen. Two thumbs up. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

 | | | | This film is, in one word, excellent! It features a strong female character (Michelle Yeoh) in top form a-la "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" style, and has some great comedic performances. Michelle plays the role of the historic Chinese folk hero Yim Wing Chun, who was ostracized from the public to a certain extent for being a female training in the male-dominated world of Kung Fu and the fighting arts, but rises in adversity to save her friends and her village. A definite must-see for any martial arts fan. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

 | | | | Overall, film fighting choreography of its time, I rate this a 4/5! But for fans who like to watch Donnie Yen, then this is perhaps one of his worst films made, simply because he plays a co-star and is not the main star. To rate Donnie Yen in this movie would be 1/5, because his character plays a fool. I suppose he just wanted some extra cash so that he could produce his own future films. As for Michelle Yeoh, I would say she looked good and fought very well, especially with the complex wire fu techniques. WIRE FU in this film is TOP CLASS and used a lot! So wire fu fans should check this out as well as Michelle Yeoh fans and martial art movie fans! | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |
