| Overview: | Romance is in the air, and it seems to center on a school and some unlikely pairings. Ng Man Tat plays a custodial engineer (OK, a janitor) with a crush on the lovely Athena Chu. She's a flower girl who just happens to be blind (echoes of Charlie Chaplin's City Lights?). Takeshi Kaneshiro plays a student (OK, he's a bit old to still be in school, but, still, it's Takeshi) with a crush on a very cute fellow student. Amazingly, though, none of his attempts to woo the cute girl work out the way he wants.
The third relationship has nothing to do with romance. Kok Siu Man (who debuted in director Jue Yin Ping's Shaolin Popey films in 1994) plays a runaway who desperately wants a friendship with Ng Man Tat. His parents are wealthy, but that he does not have the kind of home life he wants.
Very early in his career, director Jue Yin Ping was responsible for films such as Pink Force Commando and Fantasy Mission Force (possibly Jackie Chan's worst), but he rebounded by the early 1990's to make Butterfly Sword, End of the Road, and the Shaolin Popey kung fu comedies, as well as The Feeling of Love.
