| The disc is a flipper, one side with the Mandarin version and one side with the English version. Note that neither version is dubbed and in fact, they shot the same sequence two times, one for the mandarin speaking audience and one for the english audience.
I must stress that you must avoid the English version altogether, maybe just to hear what JC's english is like. It's pitiful and lacklustre compared to the Mandarin version and I also think JC can't explain himself properly in English, he's always lost for words to describe something so he resorts to onomatopoeia, (yes, more 'BOOM!'s). The documentary was shot in the standard 4:3 ratio. It's a clean and solid picture as you would expect on a documentary shot just four years ago at the time of writing. Very easy on the eyes. One of Megastar's best discs.
The audio on both versions comes in stereo and are crystal clear, like a documentary of this age should sound like. Sound effects are quite amusing, but then get annoying after a short while.
English subtitles are included with both versions. The subtitles on the Mandarin side are perfect, no grammar problems and I only noticed one spelling mistake. Also included are traditional chinese, simplified chinese, japanese, bahasa, malaysian, thai, vietnamese and spanish subtitles.
Extras include a biography, a filmography, a essay about My Stunts and a short trailer for Jackie Chan - My Story. |
