This was dancer/singer Aaron Kwok's first substantial film role after two brief cameos.

Director Chow Jan Wing co-wrote Point of No Return in 1990 (which was directed by Guy Lai Ying-Chau, who produced Close Escape); he has directed infrequently since then (just three films - My Pale Lover in 1993, Hong Kong Show Girl in 1996, and Untouchable Maniac in 2000).

Action director Phillip Kwok has perhaps the most distinguished resume - the former stuntman was one of the Shaw Brothers' "Five Venoms" in a series of Old School classics in the 1970's, and also choreographed the action in Once a Thief, Story of Ricky, and The Bride With White Hair. His most recognizable role as an actor was probably Mad Dog in Hard Boiled (the wicked villain with an eye patch).
