| Overview: | Philip (Aaron Kwok) lives a monochrome existence in Shanghai, due to his color-blindness as well as his emotional insecurities. Release comes only on the dance floor, where he finds full expression as an instructor. Yee (Cecilia Cheung), the daughter of a rich Japanese businessman, is lively and outgoing, but seeks to escape an arranged marriage by running away to Shanghai. Sparks fly when the two take a trip to Suzhou, but eventually Yee returns to Japan for her wedding, with Philip finally deciding he must pursue her. Three major dance sequences provide the highlights, and the concluding scenes take place during Tokyo's cherry blossom season, wonderfully captured by director and cinematographer Jingle Ma.
