Young and Dangerous 3, in my opinion, is the ultimate entry to the series. It's fresh and brilliantly crafted. There also seems to be an increase in budget; the film looks very polished. Pacing and story structure is well handled as well. Again, this is just the perfect sequel.
The character Camel/Lok, leader of the Tung Sing Triad, portrayed by Chan Wai-Man gives one of the best performances I've seen on screen. He is the epitome of villainous henchmen.
Mei Ling (So Close, Vampire Effect) is also introduced as Father Lam' rebellious daughter. Great character and another wonderful performance.
*Spoilers*
Y&D 3 also is a turning point since we witness the deaths of Smartie/Stammer and Chairman Chiang Tin-Sung, both who have been part of the series since the original Young and Dangerous. |
