This film was originally not supposed to have Jackie in it. Jackie Chan was supposed to produce the movie in order to support Golden Harvest. However, his choice for a leading actress said she wouldn't do it unless Jackie was the lead male. Ironically, once Jackie decided to act in it, the lead actress couldn't do the film, and was replaced by Shu Qi.
