Overview:	An enterprising actor and would-be theater impresario (Cheung, in full Cantopop mode) yearns to marry his beautiful sweetheart, but her parents have betrothed her to the son of their business partners--and they're not above murder. Doomed-lovers sudsiness, distinguished by its glossy 1930s period setting and director Yu's standard visual lushness.
