 | | | | It's okay. I just don't like the lesbian female being the main character, but because it's based on the "Young And Dangerous" series, I give it 2 and a half stars [out of 5]. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

 | | | | This was a brilliant movie. I fyou are a big fam of Y&D, watch it. Even if you are not, the story is touching as you see the journey Samp Siam Miu makes to be where she is now. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

 | | | | This film tends to move slowly with flashback sequences that may annoy some viewers. Some very good work by the main actors with intricate relationship/love triangles is what makes this film worth watching. This film also proves that in the underworld of gangs and mafia, women can be just as good as men. In this case, maybe even better. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

 | | | | | The flashbacks are long and tedious, which upset the balance of the structure and cause the film to lose direction. Shp Sam Mui's story is not without fine phrases, such as the love triangle with Alex Fong and Kristy Yang. But in the end everything gets weighed down by a heavy-handedness, and a potentially decent film becomes unbearably clumsy. Shu Qi's entrance is forced; at best it only serves as an instrument in the rise of Shap Sam Mui. It is totally unconvincing, without legend or color. The film's biggest asset is, however, the cast. Sandra Ng and Kristy Yang continue to demonstrate their thespian prowess; and Alex Fong's low-key acting style marches on to maturity. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

 | | | | | In the world of young hoods, to be without a dick is to be without power. For Shap Sam Mui to function in the underworld, she must conceal her feminine side and pretend that she too is equipped with a dick. Sandra Ng pulls off a layered performance, bringing great subtlety to Shap Sam Mui's complex psychology. Particularly interesting is the ambiguity in the character's sexual preference. Perpetually retained in memories of her first love, she appears to like women but cannot fathom the heart of the object of her desire. Still in the end her feminine side breaks out of her outward macho appearance. Both Wan Yeung-ming and Kristy Yang turn out worthy performances | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

 | | | | | A quadrangle relationship involving two men and two women evolves into two love triangles and one torch song story. She loves him, he loves her, she loves her, and he carries the torch for her. Manfred Wong and Yip Nim-sum's screenplay essentially tells the story of Shap Sam Mui's early life, with plenty of flashbacks to highlight the love between father and daughter, sisters, and men and women. Life in the underworld is merely a background where the drama of trust and betrayal are played out. Sandra Ng turns out a sterling performance; even Alex Fong and Kristy Yang make one sit up and take notice. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |
