ALTERNATE SYNOPSIS:
To repay Sun's (Pao Fong) kindness, Wai Yat Ming (Ti Lung) went to the United States to help Sun to settle the gang war conflicts fourteen years ago. Before he went, Wai asked his girlfriend Tse Shu Wai (Olivia Cheng) to adopt a child named Tse Shu Ming (Fennie Yuen) from an orphanage. Ming was the four years old daughter of a disloyal gang member who betrayed his comrades. He had been killed by Wai who had always regretted this impulsive act. Unfortunately, Wai's mission failed in the United States, he was caught and sent to prison for fourteen years. After Wai was released, he was determined to get out of the Triads and enjoyed a peaceful life with Tse and Ming. Sun has two gangs of youngsters, Sun Ying Kit and Pong Chung. They're happy in creating disputes. Since Wai does not want to see these youngsters following his steps, he tries to settle the problems each time, but troubles continue to stir up between the two gangs. For the safety of Tse and Ming, Wai decides to leave Hong Kong. However, Sun is killed before they could leave. To save the youngster, Wai is forced to pick up his gun again. In an incidence, Wai is too compassionate and he is shot by the opposing gang. At last, Wai goes to the airport, but has already seriously hurt. All he can do is to fall into Tse's arms in grief. |
