I can't understand why no one has commented on this movie. It's so funny. There are scenes that would kill you if you happened to have a mouthful of soda when they started.

One that I love is the wedding, which is arranged with the dollar in mind. A TV commercial; the making of which, is the groom's business; is being shot during it, using the bride and groom instead of paid actors. The bride has no idea this is supposed to happen.

As the couple leaves the church, they stand on the steps greeting well-wishers, when a pair of cardboard wedding bells embellished with flowers, fall on their heads. The camera is rolling, and you hear the commercial voiceover being read, describing how anything can happen at the most unusual time, therefore insurance should be purchased from the sponsor.

I watched the movie twice so that I could pick up on more of the subtitles, since the sight gags tended to keep me riveted waiting for the next insanity. The dialogue is good, and contains some great one-liners.

The stars are excellent, and the people playing the lesser parts are just perfect. Great types. Great casting!

At times things get a bit sad. And George Lam's face expresses it so well. He has spaniel-soft eyes, and you just naturally feel sorry for him. You develop a lot of sympathy for his character.

The plot is full of strange little twists and turns that keep things moving along nicely. The "honeymoon" (it's very, very brief) involves lots of condoms of many colors and styles, and some very funny lines.

I never really liked American comedies very much, and figured it was the genre. After seeing some Chinese and Korean comedy movies, I realize it was because the American flicks are obvious and often stupid, pandering to the more simplistic thinkers in the audience. This movie does not do that. It's not a dumb movie. It's definitely worth seeing. I had a lot of fun with it. This movie is FUN! I'm repeating myself? Yes. It's fun. Have some!
