Born in 1956. Graduated in 1983 from the School of Cinema in Denmark and is acknowledged as the most admired and creative filmmaker in his country. Inspite of the success, he is subject to a radical phobia: he will never travel by plane. He directed Nocturns (1981) and Images of Relief (1982), his graduation films.
