Be it acting or directing, I've really enjoyed the collaborative efforts of HK's newer generation of big actors (namely Daniel Wu, Stephen Fung, and Nicholas Tse). That, and the interesting concept behind 'Heroes In Love' were the only things that got my purchase.

It's a romantic drama art film comprised of three short films, and a fourth (sort of) film comprised of scenes from the first three. All four contributions are enjoyable, but none of them really jump out as great. As a whole I'd recommend it if you're REALLY into these kind of high concept art films.

But on the negative, I feel the films and the characters themselves are bit too vague. At only 85 minutes, it seems like they could have told a lot more about the characters and the stories than they did.

So in the end, the movie isn't entirely hit and miss. I'd recommend checking out Enter The Phoenix, New Police Story, or Gen-X/Gen-Y cops for much better movies with the acting/directorial efforts of these young actors.

2.5 [stars out of 5] is a pretty generous mark I am giving considering that the story had potential to be good but it does not tie in at the end all together with the "should I be with someone or better off alone". No, this movie is only worth watching if you are super bored.
