"Cloverfield" is perhaps more impressive considering its budget than considering it on its own, but it definitely does offer up suspense and thrills galore, and is a very fun watch.

Danny McBride is pretty freakin' hilarious. There's not much to this film, it feels a bit half-baked at times, but McBride is a laugh-out-loud scene-stealer whose ad-libs are incredibly bizarre.
This film is incredibly overrated (as is the entire series), and the hockey-mask-wearing "Jason" we've all come to know is not even featured in this installment (the hockey mask doesn't appear until Part 3). Skip this clone and watch "Halloween" instead.
