Solid police action-drama driven by corruption, betrayal, guilt, murder and revenge—and all in the name of love.
A decent actioner with good suspense marred by some cheesy special effects. Entertaining nevertheless.
Action-thriller that sees Andy Lau in a different role from what he normally plays. Interesting plot.
Many actors from the first film return as different characters in this sequel, but it just feels like an inferior rehash of the first film. Rosamund Kwan definitely wins the award for World's Most Annoying Person. But even though we don't like it much, this film is on most people's top ten, so we have to suggest that you check it out!
Master action choreographer Yuen Wo Ping rewards the patient viewer with some awesome fights and butt-kickings, but we can only recommend this one to die hard fans. Michael Wong turns in a typically deficient performance, and HKFlix fave Donnie Yen is unfortunately nowhere to be found in this sequel.
