An absolutely brilliant premise, but the execution was inconsistent. And Freddy's "new look" just looks like a cheap Halloween mask. No thanks.
A very different film from the first, there's a lot more drama than you might expect. Nonetheless, this is a very memorable installment that works for us.
Freddy's descent into wisecracking silliness really starts here, but the series also hits its stride with envelope-pushing special effects that are still amazing to this day.
Freddy's make-up is at its all-time worst, looking like a cheap Halloween mask from the local supermarket. This film just didn't work for us.
Tedious, pedestrian ghost-drama which thinks it can rely on its "stunning visuals" to carry the played-out story, but which is sorely mistaken. This movie's all style and no substance--and, frankly, its "style" is unoriginal and does nothing for us.
