A decent thriller with a semi-exploitative, but nevertheless fairly original plot. Great little movie if you like this sort of thing.
As far as Jackie Chan films go, the Armor or God series always shines. From beginning to end, it's a non-stop ride of action, acrobatics, and hilarious antics.
Wong Kar-Wai's debut feature is a wonderful outing in the Hong Kong Gangster genre. Excellent cinematography and very good acting.
Many people really liked this film's slow pace and "flawed" characters; but we feel the film just didn't have too much to say, and the corrupt characters were too sleazy and selfish to really care about.
