"Just [writing] to thank HKFlix for the Malata! The Malata DVP 520 is great. The best feature is the reverse zoom capability, which allows you to pull the picture back so you can see the right and left edges that are hidden due to overscan. HKFlix also has a very good information section..." --E. Mann / Skokie, IL

AKA: 13th District; Thirteenth District; Barrio 13; District B13; District B-13 France: 2004
Cyril Raffaelli, David Belle, Tony D'Amario, Bibi Naceri Action/Adventure / Martial Arts
Tons of jaw-dropping action with little plot or character development to get in its way. Watching these guys move is a revelation. A must for Jackie Chan and Tony Jaa fans.

Stunning production values and cinematography, though we were unimpressed by the meandering story and CGI effects. There is also not as much martial arts action here as there is rumored to be.
Whether or not you like the story or characters (we love both, for the record), this film is a visual feast that completely immerses you in a world unlike any other. Incredible.

The highlight of this very light but very funny film is Jacques Villeret's performance as Francois, a man whose ineptitude is rivaled only by his misfortune!
Reviewers who insist this film is simply "an erotic stew of sex and hair" are missing the point. It's really a pretty moving and sentimental look at two people's relationship.
A terrific little horror flick, very nerve-wracking, but perhaps not the "cult classic" some people make it out to be. We definitely could have done without the twisty craziness at the end of the film.

Though widely regarded as a classic, we felt this film's pacing and logic were a bit off. And it has not aged very gracefully, thanks largely to its 80s-style score, which feels desperately out-of-place.
AKA: How To Destroy The Reputation Of The Greatest Secret Agent... France: 1973

This hilarious spy spoof won us over on the first viewing. Jean-Paul Belmondo is a riot as top secret agent Bob St. Clair, a foe so deadly he can dispatch 6 enemies with one hastily fired bullet!
