A regrettably cursory look at a very fascinating topic, with an even more regrettable and misguided focus on the show's bland host rather than its subjects.
Despite its laid back documentary style, the filmmakers actually went to incredible pains to set up each and every shot, with months of rehearsal and dozens of takes per scene. A remarkable film with a sense of effortless beauty. Recommended for fans of "Fresh".
"Cloverfield" is perhaps more impressive considering its budget than considering it on its own, but it definitely does offer up suspense and thrills galore, and is a very fun watch.
Perhaps our favorite of all Buster Keaton's features, "College" has it all: hilarious predicaments, excellent story-telling, and jaw-dropping physical comedy.
