Shaolin Martial Arts (see film details)

One of the early Shaw Bros. films that depicted the training of the "animal" styles. I thought this was the film where they trained within a Shaolin Temple, which it wasn't. Still I enjoyed the many fight sequences.

Another Gordon Liu classic. The story takes awhile to build, but it does end with great fighting sequences.

The One Armed Swordsman (see film details)
Martial Arts / Action/Adventure

A classic among the Shaw Brothers library and certainly a springboard for Jimmy Wng Yu's career. The sets are hokey but that in many ways is the charm of the Shaw Bros. films. A traditional story of one done wrong who manages to do right.

The all-time classic that raised the bar for kung-fu films. King Hu should be recognized as one of the great film masters of his generation.
