Kung Fu Zombie (product link) Martial Arts / Ghost Not Billy Chong's best by a long shot, but this flick does has its moments. There are some pretty funny comedic moments and the zombie storyline isn't too bad. What I didn't like was how the film was sped up during quite a few of the fight scenes. This is worth giving a look, but this isn't up to par with some of Chong's other flicks, especially "Super Power", "Crystal Fist" or "Kung Fu Executioner".
Kung Fu Executioner [Crash Cinema] (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Solid flick starring Billy Chong and Carl Scott. I think this was a much better movie than "Sun Dragon", which also starred Chong and Scott. Chen Sing once again is terrific as a menacing villain.
Raiders Of Wu Tang (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure The storyline is a little bit all over the place, and I thought the 24 bronze horses looked a little too fake. With that being said, that's not to say that this movie wasn't enjoyable. Sonny Yue was solid as a ranch hand trying to learn Shaolin horse boxing, and the Wu Tang villain (not sure who played that role) was very intimidating. Throw in some crippled masters and you have a fairly enjoyable but flawed old school flick.
Shaolin Ex-Monk (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure This isn't Liu's best, but it is an above average old school flick. The comedy is hit or miss in this one--sometimes it works and sometimes it just falls flat. Still, Liu's kicking style is used a lot (which is always a plus), and he even shows some pretty quick hands in this one. Nothing really out of the ordinary as far as the training scenes go, but what elevates this from your standard flick is the interesting mystery storyline in this (which I won't ruin for those who haven't seen it). Throw in Mark Long and you have a pretty good old school flick.
Crystal Fist (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure The action in this one is pretty good, but the unnecessary comedy in the begining really drags this down. Simon Yuen once again plays a seemingly innocent cook who knows kung fu and teaches his understudy in unique ways. I thought the blind and deaf duo fight was pretty entertaining and the end fight was very good, but when the first 20 minutes of a 90 minute movie is a waste, it's hard to give it anything more than 3 1/2 stars.
Shadowless Sword (product link) Action/Adventure / Martial Arts I pretty much agree with Bastard Ronin that this film leaves a lot to be desired. I thought the storyline was quite interesting and the actors did a solid job, but every fight sequence has everyone flying around instead of just fighting. Had they kept the fight scenes "grounded", this could have been a much better movie. Too much wirework for my liking, but overall not a bad flick just one that overdid the wirework.
I completely feel you on this one but you probably already knew that. Like a sandwich from Subway this movie could have had a little more overall substance.
A Fistful Of Talons [9-Movie Set] (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure This one isn't as good as "Superpower", but it is still an entertaining flick. Billy Chong is good as usual, and Pai Ying is also very good, but Wang Ing Sik is awesome as the villain, literally kicking people through walls. The story isn't as strong as "Superpower" or "Crystal Fist", but this is still worth a look for those that appreciate old school kung fu movies.
Super Power [PanMedia] (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure This is my first Billy Chong movie, and I must say that I am impressed! One should not overlook Hua Chiu Sing's take as an obsessed fighter looking for revenge on the fighters that brought shame to his father's household. Tons of fights and many styles displayed throughout this flick. Anyone that appreciates old school movies like I do should check this out.
Shaolin Temple Strikes Back (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure This is a terrific old school martial arts film! Mark Lung is awesome playing the drunken monk, but Chen San is equally good as an evil general looking to steal the princess from the grips of the Shaolin monks. I had never seen Wong Goon- hung before, but he is also good as a young bodyguard to the princess. I highly recommend this film for those that like old school kung fu movies featuring training scenes and tons of fights.
Shaolin Temple Against Lama [5-Disc Set] (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Tons of fights and non-stop action make his a must for any lover of old school kung fu. The story is pretty good and Alexander Lo Rei is more than capable in the lead role. Highly recommended.
Drunken Tai Chi (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure I am in the miniority of people that didn't care for this movie. The ultra low budget really killed this for me, as well as there being more comedy than fighting. It was really weird seeing Donnie Yen doing comedy; I can't remember any other movie of his where he does comedy. The few fight scenes Donnie has are pretty good, there just weren't enough of them for me.
Beach Of The War Gods (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure There's nothing new as far as the Chinese vs. Japanese storyline goes, but this is an action-packed movie that delivers. I must also add that this is one of Wang Yu's better performances outside of the "One Armed Swordsman" flicks. Highly recommended for those that like lots of action.

You are right about Wang Yu: He was at his best in the One Armed Swordsman films, nearly as good in this, tolerable in the One Armed Boxer films, and much worse in just about everything else. His martial arts are minimal.
Outlaw Of The Forest (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Great Ti Lung movie. The only complaint is how short it is, coming in at around 80 minutes. The acting and action are first rate, which makes this a must-see for martial arts fans.
Contour (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure The action in this movie is amazing, and the acting isn't as bad as some make it out to be; but what is missing for me is any semblance of a likeable character!! Every character is nothing short of a selfish a$$hole. Had there been one character to root for, I probably would have given this 4 1/2 stars.
Lone Wolf And Cub 6: White Heaven In Hell (product link) Action/Adventure / Swordplay/Sword(s) This is a great series and this film does not disappoint, except for the ending, which I will not ruin for those who haven't seen it yet. I also highly recommend every movie in the series, although I felt "Shogun Assassin 3" (in the AnimEigo numbering of the films) was a little weak.
The Phantom Kung Fu (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure This film had potential but it just got too stupid for its own good. I thought Chang Yi and Wong Tao were good, but the two characters who displayed the Mantis and Monkey style weren't even in the movie for very long. It's worth viewing once, but I advise going in with low expectations and this film just might meet them.
He Has Nothing But Kung Fu [DOUBLE FEATURE] (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure With the cast of Gordon Liu, Wilson Tong, and Lam Ching-Ying, I thought this would be a "can't miss" classic; but this movie is awful in many ways. Start with an annoying lead actor (Wang Yue), unfunny comedy with a stupid plot, bad dubbing [on the version I watched], and the list goes on. Two stars for Gordon Liu and that's about it. You would think a fight between Tong and Liu would be cool, but it's just lame like the rest of this movie. And can anyone explain why the hell the tune "Dixie" is played continuously throughout this flick?
Bandits From Shantung (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Not a bad movie, but I was expecting a little more considering the cast involved. It definitely has the feel of an American western. There was plenty of action, but nothing that was very original.
Two Toothless Tigers (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure What a shame!! This film has only one fight during the first 50 minutes. It also has some terribly unfunny comedy. However, once Wang Lung Wei enters the movie, everything changes and this flick turns into some of Sammo's best work I've seen. This one is hard to find but I recommend any fan of old school martial arts to find it. Just have patience through the first half and you'll be happy you did.
Who Am I? [6-Disc Set] (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Pretty good Jackie Chan flick, but this could have been one of his best had there been more action. The fight on the rooftop is first rate and some of the stunts are typical Jackie being crazy, but there needed to be more fights to place this as one of Jackie's best.
