The action in this movie is amazing, and the acting isn't as bad as some make it out to be; but what is missing for me is any semblance of a likeable character!! Every character is nothing short of a selfish a$$hole. Had there been one character to root for, I probably would have given this 4 1/2 stars. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

This film had potential but it just got too stupid for its own good. I thought Chang Yi and Wong Tao were good, but the two characters who displayed the Mantis and Monkey style weren't even in the movie for very long. It's worth viewing once, but I advise going in with low expectations and this film just might meet them. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

 | | | | He Has Nothing But Kung Fu [DOUBLE FEATURE] (see film details) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure
With the cast of Gordon Liu, Wilson Tong, and Lam Ching-Ying, I thought this would be a "can't miss" classic; but this movie is awful in many ways. Start with an annoying lead actor (Wang Yue), unfunny comedy with a stupid plot, bad dubbing [on the version I watched], and the list goes on. Two stars for Gordon Liu and that's about it. You would think a fight between Tong and Liu would be cool, but it's just lame like the rest of this movie. And can anyone explain why the hell the tune "Dixie" is played continuously throughout this flick? | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

What a shame!! This film has only one fight during the first 50 minutes. It also has some terribly unfunny comedy. However, once Wang Lung Wei enters the movie, everything changes and this flick turns into some of Sammo's best work I've seen. This one is hard to find but I recommend any fan of old school martial arts to find it. Just have patience through the first half and you'll be happy you did. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

 | | | | Who Am I? [6-Disc Set] (see film details) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure
Pretty good Jackie Chan flick, but this could have been one of his best had there been more action. The fight on the rooftop is first rate and some of the stunts are typical Jackie being crazy, but there needed to be more fights to place this as one of Jackie's best. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

I hate to be the one that doesn't go apesh$t over this flick, but I thought the gore was a little too over-the-top. Combine that with the high school acting and at times this flick bordered on a cartoon to me. I still think it's worth viewing, I just can't give this 5 stars. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

 | | | | Azumi 2 (see film details) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure
Excellent sequel to the original. The storyline where they added a character that looked exactly like Azumi's old love interest was weak, but it doesn't matter all that much because what we want to see is Azumi mow down those that stand in her path anyway. If you liked the first flick, I highly recommend this one too. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

I didn't care for this one at all. I can handle the flying and jumping around if it is done well, but it just looks ridiculous in this movie. The movie seems to drag on forever (I fell asleep twice watching it) and is just not interesting. I give it two stars only for Ti Lung, but even he can't save this one. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

 | | | | The Boxer From Shantung (see film details) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure
The story is very interesting, but the martial arts are nothing spectacular. Chen Kuan-Tai is great, but the movie is too long (~129 minutes) for a film made in the 70's. The end scene is brutal and bloody but just never seems to end. For every good thing about this movie, there is something which knocks it back from being great. In my opinion, this is a good movie, not a great one. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! | | AGREE? | READER COMMENTS | AUTHOR | | Y | If one is not impressed by Chen Kuan Tai, the movie is just as you say. I think higher of him than you do, and enjoy the film very much - but it could have been better with a little less filler. | Jeffrey Frawley |

 | | | | Grand Master Of Death [Ground Zero] (see film details) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure
Great movie starring Alexander Fu Sheng as the only person willing to stand up to the thugs in his village. Wang Lung Wei is an awesome villain with help from Leung Kar Yan (Beardy). My only complaint was the director's choice to stop the action in the end fight between Wei and Fu Sheng to flashback to show Fu Sheng training. Highly recommended. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! | | AGREE? | READER COMMENTS | AUTHOR | | Y | Alexander Fu Shing is one of my favorite martial arts stars, he really excels in this film as the only guy not intimidated by a bunch of thugs. Wang Lung Wei as usual is a great villain, as you stated this is a great film! | Sgt. T |

 | | | | Legend Of The Wolf (see film details) Action/Adventure / Martial Arts
The action in this movie is very good, but I have to agree with others that complained that the camera angles really hurt this overall. The film is also sped up in most fights, which I didn't feel was necessary considering how fast Donnie is already. Overall, a pretty good film, but not a great one. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! | | AGREE? | READER COMMENTS | AUTHOR | | Y | It's disconcerting (and unnecessary, too) when Donnie Yen's moves are speeded up with camera tricks. | Jeffrey Frawley | | Y | The action was great, I agree. | JV47842 |

 | | | | Wu Tang Witch [DOUBLE FEATURE] (see film details) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure
Pretty good sword flick with an interesting plot and quite a bit of wire work thrown in. My real complaint is that the subtitles [on the version I watched] were in white, making it virtually impossible to read them in many places. Still, this is worth a look. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

 | | | | The Treasure Hunters (see film details) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure
An awesome cast and tons of action normally make a 5 star flick, but the comedy is really bad in spots and thankfully dies down 3/4 through the movie. Wang Lung Wei and Yueng Jing Jing are great as villains, and Gordon Liu and Fu Sheng are equally good as our heroes. Highly recommended, just bear through the comedy nonsense. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |
