Kung Fu Hustle (product link) Comedy / Action/Adventure Extremely entertaining movie. Funny, good special effects, decent fighting. It combines so many of the mystical powers from the kung fu movies before it. The special effects and comical parts are a little over-done in spots. The fighting is pretty good, and I could still watch this movie over and over again and enjoy it.
Infernal Affairs (product link) Drama / Crime Awesome movie. Tony Leung is great. Full of suspense. If you plan on seeing "The Departed" (the U.S. movie based on "Infernal Affairs", which sticks very close to the story), check out this one first. But the twists in "The Departed" aren't as powerful after you've already seen "Infernal Affairs".
Tri-Star (product link) Comedy / Action/Adventure I guess if you're a Leslie Cheung fan, you'll have to see this one. It's okay. Kind of a cute story and has a few funny parts.
Jiang Hu [LE 2-Disc Box] (product link) Action/Adventure / Crime This is a Hong Kong gang movie. I kind of like Ekin Cheng, so I got this. I didn't like it. If you don't like the gangster-style movies, you probably won't like this one.
Attack The Gas Station (product link) Dark Comedy / Comedy This wasn't as funny as I expected. It's a little dark. Lots of famous Korean actors, but I wasn't very impressed.
Xanda (product link) Action/Adventure / Martial Arts Better than I expected. I don't like boxing much and know nothing about the sport xanda, but this was still good. I love Tsui Hark, so I had to check this out. It can be compared to a Chinese version of Rocky. Xanda had a good story, pretty solid characters that I could get into, and the action wasn't too bad. I love the traditional kung fu stuff, but this was still entertaining.
Police Story 2 (product link) Martial Arts / Comedy Definitely not one of my favorite Jackie Chan movies. A little old for my taste (I like the early-, mid-90s stuff), and not the greatest action.

I agree. Other than the fantastic fight in the playground, there wasn't a whole lot of action. This one pales in comparison to the first Police Story.
North Korean Guys (product link) Comedy / Action/Adventure Surprisingly good. I wasn't expecting much, but this was a funny movie. Even my wife, who's Korean and is critical of most Korean movies, thought it was good.
Memento Mori (product link) Horror / Ghost Not much new in this high school horror/thriller. I didn't see the first one in the series (Whispering Corridors), but this one's still a little scary.
Cyclo (product link) Drama / Art A very well done and (seemingly) real movie, but pretty depressing. I didn't really read the description before buying it, but I thought it was just a love story between Tony Leung and a Vietnamese girl. I can see why it won some international film fest awards, but then, most of the movies that win those awards are a little strange and mostly sad.
Fire Dragon (product link) Martial Arts / Fantasy If you like any of the wire-inspired 90s kung fu movies, and especially if you like Brigitte Lin, you'll love this one. Great fighting, and the story's okay. Check this one out.
The Soul Guardians (product link) Horror / Action/Adventure Pretty weird but interesting. Got it because I like Ahn Seong-Ki and Shin Hyun-Jun. Can't recommend you go out of your way to see this, but if you get a chance and like Korean movies, it's not bad.
New Police Story (product link) Action/Adventure / Martial Arts I was disappointed. I had read that this was Jackie Chan's best movie in a long time, but I didn't like it very much. A little too dramatic.

Like many of Jackies later films, this one follows a familiar pattern: strong begining, boring middle and terrific ending. Three stars is about right for this one.
The King And The Clown [China DVD-5] (product link) Drama / Comedy Awesome Korean movie. Great acting, funny story, fabulous costumes and settings. And it's loosely based on one of Korea's real kings who was a little nutty.
The Butterfly Murders (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Solid old school kung fu flick with some mystery. I'm more into the 90s and later stuff, but I had to see this one because it's Tsui Hark.
Azumi (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Weak action. This reminds me of one of the new style movies with singers (non-actors and actresses) in the main roles. These kids had no business being in a swordplay movie. If you're looking for good martial arts action, don't watch this one.
