Swordplay/Sword(s) / Action/Adventure
This movie is very good. One of my favorites. It isn't one of those goofy Chinese action movies. Feels like it really takes you back to the old days in china and to see what life was like and how hard life was back then, no justice or anything. The last fight scene I loved. I have not seen a movie quiet like this. This is one of a kind. The fighting is not what you are used to from Hong Kong martial arts, and neither is the the style. The whole style of the movie has a very rugged feel to it. The theme of revenge and such is pretty normal but still is good as I never get sick of these kind of movies.
The Blade US version 3 is very good. I have the UK version as well, and was curious how good the US version was and it was only 10 bucks here so i bought it. the Menu looks completely retarded and I wondered if this was a bootleg, but who cares about the menu? the picture was definately clearer then the UK one although nothing too crazy, but it was clearer, I mean I did see some stuff I never seen before in the numerous times I watched it on the poor quality UK dvd. The sound was noticably clearer then the UK one as well. there are no extras, its just movie, trailer, and you can turn of subtitles, and thats it. |
