Contour (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure This, like "Undercut", is amazing. This time we get a full-length movie whereas "Undercut" was 30 minutes.from beginning to end. There's wall-to-wall action and good comedy. The Stunt People are the ones to look out for in the future. Action and comedy like no other. Pick this up right away--it is a must-have item. I can't wait for the next feature to be released.
Hot Fuzz (product link) Comedy / Action/Adventure Might be aa great as "Shaun..." but this nonetheless is a really good movie. Great comedy, good action, great in-jokes and gags. Fans of "Shaun..." will like this one.
Yakuza Demon (product link) Action/Adventure / Crime A must-see for fans of gangster movies. It may not be the best known Miike film, but it is a very good one. The story is very good; the action--though there's not a lot of it--is brutal and realistic, not over the top (not like that's a bad thing); and Riki Takeuchi gives a very good preformance. Also see "Blood".
Fist Of Fury [1995] (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Donnie Yen is a great action star, one of the best and very underrated and often under used ("Blade 2", "Highlander Endgame"?), but Jesus Christ is this movie bad. It looks like a TV show or soap opera, and whoever edited the fight scenes: "YOU SUCK". They go so fast it looks almost comical. I played the scenes in slo-mo but it still didn't work for me. Great idea to remake a classic though. Remaking it again with "Sha Po Lang" director Wilson Yip would be cool.
American Psycho 2: All American Girl (product link) Horror / Thriller You know a movie is bad when you and your friends leave the room for the duration of the movie and never pay it any mind. I would have been better off renting..."Rat Race" or something. No stars, I'm sorry, I just couldn't get into this movie.
Hard Boiled (product link) Action/Adventure / Bullet Ballet This is one the greatest action movies (if not the greatest action movie) ever made. Many imitate but never come close.
Dragon Tiger Gate (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Some of the best fight scenes I have seen. Donnie Yen has done it again. The story is the standard action story, nothing great, but it's not horrible. Fans of top-notch action and of Donnie Yen should check this one out.
