Another amazing Chang Cheh film starring three of the Five Deadly Venoms and a great cast of supporting actors. Intrigue, murder, iron flag spears, and excellent choreography made this very enjoyable for me. Although slow at times with exhaustive dialogue, the overall effect is excting and compelling. A film for any gongfu enthusiasts, especially for fans of Chang Cheh and Venoms collabos. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

I am so glad I bought this classic Liu Chia Liang film. Gordon Liu was excellent as Wong Fei Hong. I felt very impressed with his demonstation of the famous Hung-Ga gongfu. Wand Lung Wei showcased nothern spear and broadsword, eagle claw, preying mantis, and other styles I didn't recognize. Both actors delivered phenomenal skills and martial sophistication under the guidance of masterful choreography. Underlying the plot is a lesson about wu de, martial morality. Incredible lion dancing at the beginning rounds out this film. Liu Chia Liang really knows how to demand the best from his actors. One of my favorite movies. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

 | | | | The Avenging Eagle (see film details) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure
An excellent martial drama, complete with betrayals, intrigues, love interest, mayhem and death! This film contained some classic man vs. himself conflict in the form of Ti Lung's developing self-awareness and conscience that I really enjoyed. Is a killer a killer always? Additionally, there was some tasteful cinematography that added some unexpected appeal. Fu Sheng and Ti Lung were excellent together. Commendable choreography, although not on par with the best of Liu-Chia Liang. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |

 | | | | Shaolin Prince (see film details) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure
Classic shaw brothers gongfu! I love this movie. Intrigue, assassinations, darings escapes, and some slapstick silliness. The three holy fools are among some of the finest "eccentric master" characters ever. Secret Yi Jing manual gongfu, brilliant straight sword, and a cast of martial giants, even Liu Chia Liang in a supporting role. A must see for any 1970's Shaw Brothers fans. | | LOG IN TO COMMENT ON THIS REVIEW! |
