Bio: I look for fast action martial art movies. A five star movie to me consist of great choreography such as Legendary Weapons of China, The Rebel Intruders, and Long Step Mantis just to name a few. Further more about my movie ratings, I don't really look for story, I just look for the boxing.
I think the (HK Flix) staff is great to give us the delight to share our thoughts and comments about certain movies we select. Now, we are an offical community sharing with each other our love for film.

DID I JUST REALLY WATCH THIS MOVIE!!!????
This is truly one of the best movies I have ever seen in my life, and that is no exaggeration!
Reasons why you should buy this film:
- The Yuen family: Yuen Woo Ping, Yuen Chiang Ren, Yuen Jen Chiang, Yuen Er Chia. (Actually that should be reason enough.)
- Watching Leung Kar Yan's Wing Chun style displayed on this film. In my opinion, it was better here then on "Warriors Two".
This movie is truly a gem, not because it was a great kung fu film, but because of the legend of Fok Yan Gap; Philip Ko, the Yuen family and Leung Kar Yan put their hearts in this film to let us know that. Also, if you raters gave this movie less than five stars it is sort of disrespectful knowing the work put in this film.

WOW! I was pleasantly surprised. I've learned about the history in an Asian course I was taking, and I must say that most of this movie is accurate. But what made this movie 5 stars (in my opinion) is the martial arts. Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The first 45 minutes of the movie was very slow, I must admit, but after that--man!

According to other reviews, I must say (in my own opinion) this is a classic. I've never seen anyone get their butts kicked over a bag of rice like this. Wow! The ambiance of this film is pretty gloomy, but the fighting scenes (and there are lots) gives it this weird dichotomy of entertainment. Not to be missed for all kung fu fans.

When I've seen this movie I could not believe that I could be amazed more at Alexander for executing these moves. I am totally amazed, and I'm telling people to "Hurry up and Buy" immediately. This movie is better then "Shaolin vs. Lama" seven times over...

Hooray Meng Fei, Chen Kuen Tai, you guys have made my life very entertaining. This movie is really a hidden classic. With the great fighting techniques, this movie is sure to please any kung fu fan. I'm very delighted to have this movie in my collection and I do recommend this movie for everyone to enjoy.

Mark Lung is one of my favorite martial artist, he has a style like no other. He adds a lot of passion in he artistry. Nonetheless, this movie is nothing short of five stars. The action is superb, and the story is ok, but trust me this movie needs to be in your collection.

Wow, I was pleasantly entertained. I am never really let down when I buy a Meng Fei film... If you don't buy this movie, you should not consider yourself a martial arts movie fanatic. A good movie to keep for your collection.

I’m truly amazed; I never thought this movie would be like this. I feel that movie should have an alternative title called The Silent Killer from Canton. It would have added a sense where this movie is going. Also, I feel this movie is highly in the Shaw and Golden Harvest tradition.

I adored this film because of the convoluted story line that made plenty of sense. I'm a martial arts fanatic, and the story made this movie more of a pleasure to watch. Now, the martial arts in this film proved a spectacular oracle of what kung fu movies are supposed to have. Also, this movie is treat for the simple fact that the story line was enough; and they added martial arts! I do recommend this movie to all kung fu fanatics. But I must warn you; this is more swords play with little hand to hand combat. But it's a fast action flick. The Venoms rule!
