Blind Fury (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Not as good in retrospect, but I loved this "Zatoichi" remake as a kid long before I ever heard of "Zatoichi". Plus Rutger Hauer is always worth a look.

That pretty much says it all. But for me it's worth owning for nostalgia and for Rutger Hauer's performance.
Samourais (product link) Action/Adventure / Martial Arts Some decent choreography here, but it's not worth sitting through the horrid story and bad acting. Oh, and some of the worst looking videogame/CGI ever. Skip it.
Kibakichi (product link) Action/Adventure / Horror Not a bad little samurai action flick with some monster stuff thrown in. The effects are hit or miss (some of the creatures are OBVIOUS rubber suits). Worth a look.
The Devil's Sword (product link) Fantasy / Science Fiction One of the villains kicks a boulder in the air, then JUMPS ON IT, and rides the flying boulder down the side of a mountain. This movie RULES.
The Ultimate Jet Li Collection [4-Disc Set] (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure A nice compilation of some harder-to-find Jet Li flicks. This is the only place I could find "Kids From Shaolin".
The Kung Fu Cult Master (product link) Action/Adventure / Martial Arts This confusing flick feels like part 2 of a 3-part story. The first 15 minutes is bogged down in TONS of backstory and exposition (enough that it could've been its own film), and then it ends abruptly with the main plot completely unresolved. Some explosive wire fu action, but the story is a headscratcher.
Shaolin Temple 2: Kids From Shaolin (product link) Martial Arts / Drama Shaolin boys vs Wutang girls. Some silly comedy and a musical number thrown in (Jet Li lip synching is hysterical), but once it settles into the action, this flick delivers in spades.
Tai Chi 2 (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Formula story (foreigners smuggling opium) with some good choreography. Christy Chung is cute as always, and Jacky Wu Jing is a future superstar still finding his feet here.
Labyrinth Of Death (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure I picked this up [cheap]. It's certainly not what it appears from the packaging, but a silly kung fu vampire romp with kids was okay, too. Just be aware what you're getting.
Mr. Vampire (product link) Horror / Comedy A surprisingly fun and entertaining blend of kung fu, comedy and hopping undead creatures. Spawned many sequels and imitators.
Magnificent Warriors (product link) Action/Adventure / War The story and characters are somewhat derivative, but the action is top-notch and the movie never slows down enough to get boring.
The Legendary Strike (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Some good fighting, but low production values and a confusing, senseless storyline hurt this movie.
Daimajin (product link) Fantasy / Action/Adventure A fun Kaiju flick set in feudal Japan. A monster who is only 30 feet tall can get more "up close and personal" with his kills than some 40-story-tall monster. Other than a couple of poor matte shots, the effects are quite good.
Enter The Fat Dragon (product link) Martial Arts / Comedy Sammo is the best of the Bruce Lee imitators, but his performace here is his own, not just a simple aping of Lee's mannerisms. Quality action, but too slow in spots.
Ed Wood (product link) Drama / Comedy Quirky but entertaining biopic about the infamously crappy filmmaker. Landau's portrayal of an aging, addicted Bela Lugosi is excellent.
Dellamorte Dellamore (product link) Horror / Dark Comedy Brilliant, surreal meditation on the murky relationship between love and death. Plus, it has boobs and plenty of blood.
Braindead (product link) Horror / Comedy If you think "Shaun of the Dead" invented the romantic comedy/zombie flick, think again. "Braindead" ("Dead Alive") is faster, funnier, and has many more gallons of splatter. An essential for gorehounds.
