| So, New One Swordsman was dubbed into English and released as 'Triple Irons' in the USA? Cool. I haven't seen the English dubbed version. I bought the HK DVD versions of the One Armed Swordsman trilogy in 2004. Best $ I ever spent!The film is watchable in Mandarin with optional English subtitles. Li Ching only appears in the third installment...and boy, is she cute! Her costumes are colorful and well made; the Shaw Brothers studio must've had their own Edith Heads. David Chiang does a solid acting job as The New One Armed Swordsman, Lei Li. Ti Lung also does a good job as a swordsman who worships Lei Li. I first saw Ti Lung in an English dubbed version of A Better Tomorrow(1986).
I love the stock music cues from John Barry's score for On Her Majesty's Secret Service(1969). They make me want to whip out my CD copy of the soundtrack.
The One Armed Swordsman trilogy has a place in my heart...along with the Pepe El Toro trilogy or the Star Wars trilogy...wait a minute...there's been four or more Star Wars movies since 1983! | JZ85
