| This movie was titled The 12 Deadly Assassins back when it came on Black Belt Theater and it was my all time favorite. I spent years trying to find it and when I saw HK had it under its original name I was shocked. I told my friends and they all bought this film! | SM28086

| #2 | I think you'll agree "The Avenging Eagle" is a much more appropriate title. Black Belt Theater did give a lot of us a taste of Hong Kong action cinema, at the expense of generally awful dubbing and badly cropped indistinct images. I suppose some people took that shoddy image at face value and left HK action behind.

| #3 | Jay Lee you are right about reaching people! It seems folks are usually excited to find something new and cool and that can mean an intro to foreign or indie movies. I also believe the more we realize that people are pretty much the same everywhere the hostility factor decreases. The resurrection of some of those old remastered films are a true joy! I hate to think of the hours spent trying to not only see what was happening on the screen squinting to try and read subtitles with two languages and falling off the screen both ways.
