| #4 | The video transfer is good, but not perfect. This is the only version I've seen, so I dunno if it's the transfer or the source print, but some of the night scenese (especially near the beginning) the blacks aren't very black. They're sorta dark blue/grey and a bit muddy. Thankfully there aren't a lot of night scenes and the majority of the fighting action looks really great. As mentioned, the English subs are very good. | TheDenizen

| #5 | I watched it on the PS3 through the HDMI cable on a 42" LCD HD TV and it looked quite good. No, it's not perfect like a remastered Criterion edition. But it was very good. I wasn't disappointed in the slightest. Unless you're waiting for some type of special features this is absolutely the version to pick up, no two ways about it. | Garvinstomp

| #6 | i got one malaysia version,great picture not like HD type, problem is play speed is abit fast cos it 93min.. i got chinese version(no sub)97min it play normal play speed.. better for you buy U.K or U.S.A version.. | mic-dragon80

| #7 | I have the Malaysian version that is with the "Special Edition". The visuals seem okay though there are scenes that border on muddy, and a few where an object on screen vibrates.I do not know if the current DVD out of Malaysia is the same as the one in the SE.
I suppose the smoky haze and dark tone could have been used for ambiance though I think it probably had to do more with budget and used for back fill.
I would probably watch it no matter how blurry!
