| I must of been mislead. Not sure. The info I recieved was that Victim was Sammo's first directed film but it didn't get released until 1980 and Iron Fisted Monk became Sammo's first theatrical release thereby it, in a paradoxical sense, was Sammo's director debut . I guess that is where the confusion lies (at least with me). It does however make sense to me, since Victim was B-movie (more likely made in Tawian (sic)) and Sammo worked in Tawain (sic) before working with Golden Harvest.

| #2 | Sammo Were doing independent films alongside his GH efforts, only after he proved himself with Ironfisted Monk(77). The projects that GH weren't interested in funding, like Enter The Fat Dragon(79) and The Victim(80) (both shot in HK btw)!
He also didn't start to work closely with Leung Kar Yan, before Warriors Two(78)!
Plus, you can see from their apperances, style of choreo, the people involved etc. That The Victim definitely came some time after Ironfisted Monk!

| #3 | I got the info. from an audio commentary for the Tai Seng version of Victim which featured Bobby Samuels who has worked with Sammo (I beleive Don't Give A Damn was one of them) and some film expert called Ric Meyers. Ric said what I stated above and Bobby Samuels clarified it to be an axiom. Considering Bobby knows Sammo personally, I made the assumption it was true. Bobby is a good guy. And wouldn't lie on purpose, like Meyers. But he also occassionally gets his facts mixed up.

I think Bobby Samuels is being a facade-wearing sycophant personally. Not an insult to Bobby, but I think he's just egging Ric on. I mean if Ric were to say (in which wouldn't suprise me if he actually said this to be factual) that "Sammo Hung was born on Mars and grew up in a circus and learn Hung Gar from a magical elf" I think Bobby would pet Ric on his bald head like as if he were a baboon and say "That's right man."
