| XIONG XIN-XIN TO OUT-CHOCOLATE CHOCOLATE? (401 views) | AUTHOR / DATE |
| Wow, I think this just made my year. Apparently Xiong Xin-Xin (who we recently discussed in "The Musketeer" discussion) is finishing up directing a new film that he claims will out-Chocolate "Chocolate".
His new star will purportedly be doing all her own stunts, and will be doing far more complex choreography than Jeeja Yanin.
Are you as excited as I am about this? Because I'm all giddy like a little schoolgirl after watching this trailer.
I CANNOT FREAKING WAIT to see this one! | Choco 11/18/2008 3:27 PM |

| #3 | Looks promising... and in my mind, it wouldn't take much to out-chocolate "Chocolate", as I found that one rather dull and dissapointing! | JAY LEE 11/19/2008 4:18 AM |
| #4 | I enjoyed "Chocolate" much more than Jay Lee did, but this looks very promising. The promise of more complex choreography is a great selling point. | Jeffrey Frawley 11/19/2008 5:15 AM |
| #5 | Sounds and looks pretty interesting. Let's face it, we're all going to check it out. Honestly, Xiong Xin Xin is a high caliber force that often doesn't get the props he deserves. I have faith that he will come through. | Bastard Ronin 11/19/2008 4:14 PM |
| #6 | This is just another fine additions to what looks to be a very good year for releases here on HK Flix. | Garvinstomp 11/20/2008 2:18 AM |
| #7 | Damn, nice trailer. A couple of similar looking scenes to Chocolate (fighting up the scaffolding on the side of a building), but some impressive looking action and stunts. Definitely one to keep an eye on. | TheDenizen 11/20/2008 9:10 AM |
| #8 | Impressive trailer, BR is correct Xiong Xin Xin does not get the credit he deserves as an actor and as a martial arts choreographer! This offering definitely looks good! It is nice to see that we are finally getting some good female martial artists to take the torch from Michelle Yeoh and Bridgette Lin, both of whom made great films in the nineties. I am looking forward to seeing this one. | Sgt. T 11/23/2008 7:17 PM |
| #9 | Looks good,Choco. Thanks for the heads up! I'll be keeping an eye open for this one 'cause like you, I enjoyed Chocolate a lot! | AB13687 12/12/2008 1:00 PM |
| #10 | I'm officially stoked about this film. If Xiong Xin-Xin lives anywhere up to his potential, and delivers on any of what he's promising with this film, it should be phenomenal. | Choco 12/13/2008 9:06 AM |
| #11 | I'm guardedly psyched about this one! Seems I have watched a few too many films that did not live up to the PR, and I'm afraid to be as excited as I am tempted to be! We REALLY need more females in star or co-star positions especially in "action" movies. We all know there are martial artists that given the chance would be super stars but with so much competition they never have the opportunity. | Cinema! 1/21/2009 4:49 AM |
| #12 | I agree. I'm trying not to get too excited about this one, but I'd be lying if I said I had low expectations... | Choco 1/21/2009 8:23 AM |
| #13 | Anything new on this release? | WuxiaFan 10/2/2009 12:00 PM |
| #14 | Good question. It came out in theaters in mid-year, but no DVD has been announced that I've seen. I'll poke around a bit more. Some of the reviews sound pretty bad, unfortunately. :( | Choco 10/2/2009 1:22 PM |
