| Was anyone else totally blown away by this film? And I don't just mean by the exquisite ass-kicking, I mean the entire film. This one totally caught me by surprise, and actually reminded me of how fun onscreen karate can be, even in this day and age where crazy-elaborate super-human fights are so popular.
A true example of quality over quantity. | Choco 9/22/2008 8:01 PM |
| #2 | I was definitely and pleasantly surprised by this film. Sometimes, for me, it's easy to forget what a fantastic, solid film is like, one that I can appreciate on many levels, technically and emotionally. Now easily one of my favorite MA films. | Mimi 9/23/2008 9:17 AM |
| #3 | great film in a twighlight samurai type of way. I would not describe it as Amazing Amazingness. What fights there are are very good. Just don't expect lots of action. | YoMama 9/23/2008 12:42 PM |
| #4 | Yeah, it doesn't have lots of action for sure. But I would describe "Twilight Samurai" as awesome, just as I would this one. The filmmaking is just total quality, and the fact that it has such cool fighting too is really just a bonus to an already-great film. | Choco 9/23/2008 3:24 PM |

| #7 | Kuro Obi is the real deal! This film and Jet Li's FEARLESS have become my top two films of all time, when it comes to story/plot, action and technical film making. Kuro Obi is a film that raises the bar within the genre. | Little Dragon Fan 4/6/2009 12:29 AM |
