There was hardly any Muy Thai fighting! The other styles are cool but I had seen it all before from other martial artists in films. This was an all around poor film. From the plot to how the action was shot. Just poor.
Contour (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Ever wonder what would happen if all the guys that work at your local Toyota dealership decided to make a kung fu movie? Then watch this.
So all of the guys at your local Toyota dealership are talented martial artists/choreographers and can easily kick the crap out of you? Nice. Hugs and kisses, The Bottle Kids.
Seriously, show some hard working guys a little respect. For everyone that says "I can do better," well they actually went out and did something that wasn't half bad.
That's ridiculous. The choreography and execution of the action sequences in this film are on a par with the best of the best. If you can't see past the low budget, that's a real loss for you.
Flash Point (product link) Action/Adventure / Martial Arts I reckon it's a letdown after "SPL". The story is completely boring, the fights don't start until the second half, but still very good action--not as good as the first. Donnie Yen still kicks ass, but they give me a feeling of trying too hard. I can't wait until "Ong-Bak 2" comes out--Tony Jaa still is the king of action, Donnie Yen could never match!

Donnie Yen, if unleashed, is an absolute killer. Yes this movie doesn't show off his best, but his speed and strength is sometimes scary and it just needs to be put in a movie that doesn't hold back. But, dude's getting older, and not much time left.
