Bio: collect and watched every good kung fu movie out there, i start watch kung fu film when i was 3, so 20 years experience, collect over 1200 kung fu dvd. i call my self the true kung fu movie collector!i always tell the truth about kung fu film, that's the reason we all here, bruce lee is not a god, donnie yen is really try hard, 36 chamber is not the best classic........., be honest to your self, do you really think a film is great? or because every one else say it's good? i like to be myself!
Im still waiting to see a copy with good English subtitles to comment on the plot. The action is pretty good. Jija does the moves very well but her power is not believable. She needs to work on delivery of impact but other than that action is pretty good.
Fist Of Fury [1972] (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure This is Bruce Lee's worst film, totally stay away, the fight is slow and boring, totaly overrated. I was fooled by those so-called reviews, this movie is a big rip-off of "Fist Of Legend", watch the Jet Li version is way better, the original is always the best. I totally agree Bruce Lee is a a good actor, but not a real fighter. He is so small, and he has proved nothing in real fighting. Bruce Lee is always the most overrated person in the world, he is not the best as it seems!

You are correct to a great extent. The movie is worth seeing, but it is mainly Americans who have seen few or none among Chinese movies who are overly-impressed with Bruce Lee. I am from China, and I have seen thousands of Chinese movies, so I can judge.
I almost agreed with this review simply because I couldn't quit laughing at it. Anyone who thinks the Jet Li version is the original should probably pick another genre of film to watch.
Remember this film was made according to the production standards of the seventies. It was not the greatest but it was a pretty decent old school production introducing us to Bruce Lee!
You have no logic. This movie is amazing and so is Bruce Lee. And didn't Bruce Lee prove that he was an excellent martial artsist and one of the most physically fit people ever? And didn't he pretty much create the Jeet Kun Do?
Your belief that an original film is a ripoff of a remake from twenty years later is a serious problem. Bruce Lee had legitimate martial arts experience - a grounding in Wing Chun developed into his own Jeet Kun Do - rather than artistic Wushu.

You are correct. Bruce lee is over-rated, and this is hardly his best film. I am from China and saw thousands of Chinese movies. This one is not memorable.
This was not Bruce Lee's best but again the time frame is 1970-1971 when this film was made. Bruce Lee's charisma carries this film and makes it a classic as his first full-fledged martial arts movie for Western audiences!

you know what, I did actually like this film. Fun and stupid!
This film was an early try at completing what might have been Bruce Lee's greatest film! The scenes with the real Bruce were not even complete. Its worth a look, there is a good Sammo and Bob Wall fight, but this is not a four and a half star film!
But you gave the box set 4 stars- I think your trying to make people mad or your confused about the star rating. Anyways your reviews are funny at least I enjoy them ya know.
The film Bruce Lee intended to make doesn't exist. This reconstruction/reimagining/re-something is nice to see, but it can't compare with his completed films.
SPL: Sha Po Lang (product link) Crime / Drama This film is very similar to "Flash Point", but I think this is the better one of the two. The story drags on a bit, but the action was great. Donnie Yen is clearly getting old, and he likes to show off a bit too much. We all know he is great, worth collecting!

I actually mainly agree with you, I'm just putting no because everyone disagrees with you. This was a great movie and I rate the fight between Donnie Yen and Jackie Wu Jing as one of the greatest ever.
Shinobi (product link) Action/Adventure / Fantasy This has got to be the worst ninja movie ever. I don't understand why people rated it so high. Sure, I watched the manga and anime version, it's great, but the live action version sucks because they don't have the budget to make the special effects look real, and the actors look so fake. I can't believe how dumb this movie is. As I said, if you have no brain and still believe in fantasy and fairy tales, then this movie suits you perfectly. But if you are a hardcore kung fu action fan like me, stay away from it at all costs. I think that's why we're here in the first place!

In fact NO WAY, if you have no brain then you wouldn't notice the great storyline that this movie offers. Man, this movie has everything. Each to their own. But shit, you missed a magic movie here.
I'm not sure if I would call this a ninja movie and I could see where some hardcore kung fu fans could dislike it, but I felt this was well done and quite interesting. I couldn't help feel like I was watching a superior version of the X-Men
Fist Of Fury: Sworn Revenge [SE 2-Disc Set] (product link) Action/Adventure / Martial Arts Highly recommended. Yeah, it's a TV series movie. So what? It's cheap, but Donnie really shines in this film. They were on a really tight budget, but they have so many great fight scenes, it's way better than some so-called kung fu flicks today. Get this series, you will like it!

The action choreography is about as good as one can achieve in a modestly-budgeted television series. No, it can't compare to a really good film: It isn't a film, but a pretty entertaining TV show.
Wheels On Meals (product link) Martial Arts / Comedy An okay film, a bit overrated, definitely not Jackie Chan's best. Some people don't like my reviews beacuse I tell the truth, but that's the way it is. A good kung fu flick has to have a lot of action--I mean good action, creative action. All this film has is some basic punching and kicking, that's it. It's worth a rental, not a purchase. Watch "Armor Of God" instaed!
This film has entertained fans and received accolades from reviewers and considered one of the best Jackie movies, as well as "three dragons" movies. To WG DMII was made in 1993 - 94 you can't compare them.If you fight without weapons it's called sparring
After disagreeing with over a hundred of your reviews, I finally agree on this one. Looking at the previous works of these three greats,( Jackie -Drunken Master 2, Sammo-Odd Couple and Yuen- Prodigal Son), how can you accept this junk?

This film is not overrated this has the big 3 Jackie, Sammo and Yuen in the best all out actioner they did together - it has been said and I believe it that jackies fight will benny the jet is one of the best fight scenes ever I believe a must own.
Black Cat [1991] (product link) Action/Adventure / Girls With Guns Really good film. I just love the story. The original is always the best. There is such a big rip-off movie called "Naked Weapon", it's based on this movie. A must-see!
This film was based on the French version called La Femme Nikita, the American version was called The Point Of No Return. I agree with you, this is by far the best version for this particular plot!

I was tired and mistook yes for no on your review of "Shaolin Master Killer", you really missed the mark! I'm pleasantly surprised to agree with your review of "Invincible Pole Fighter"!

Good performances, those guys got skills, all they need is the budget to make it big. If you like "Contour", you will like this, but don't expect the same level as "Contour".
The Warlords (product link) Action/Adventure / War A must-see Jet Li movie with good story and action. Don't watch his movie called "War", because it's a waste of time. "The Warlords" is on par with "Fearless"!

War (product link) Action/Adventure / Martial Arts This is Jet Li's worst film ever. I can't believe he starred in a film like this. I've got every single film Jet Li made, but I'm going to stay away from this one. Don't be fooled, it's got Jet Li and Corey Yuen in it, but it's got very little action and Jet Li gets beaten up a lot. The fights were slow and very hard to see--very, very disappointing from Jet L. I hope he does not make any more movie like this, it's killing his career!!!
You have not written one single good review ever. All of your reviews are poorly written with little exposition. You seem to know very little about a lot.
I must reluctantly agree - I liked the movie, but it had all of the flaws mentioned here. One generally goes to a Jet Li film expecting excellent martial arts, rather than gunplay. Most of his American films have shortchanged his physical abilities.
My Young Auntie (product link) Martial Arts / Comedy Really boring plot, if you want a good story, forget this one, but the kung fu is top notch. Liu Cha Liang is at his best. You can tell by real kung fu master or actors, Highly recommended!

"Invincible Pole Fighter" is better, but this is still quite a good film. The fight with the bandit (Lau Kar Leung himself) is good enough for at least 4 stars. The rest is good too!

No, there are no crabs involved here, and that's no crap. "Duel to the Death" is a well made film with good acting and choreography. Four stars, or thereabouts.
Your sanity called... it's lost and can't find it's way home. You might not like the wire-fu style, but to call this flick boring is just wrong. It's full of action.
Bury Me High (product link) Action/Adventure / Thriller Terrible film, I wasted my money on this one. Not a single good fight in this one. Everything is so slow. Bad kung fu flick.
