Bio: collect and watched every good kung fu movie out there, i start watch kung fu film when i was 3, so 20 years experience, collect over 1200 kung fu dvd. i call my self the true kung fu movie collector!i always tell the truth about kung fu film, that's the reason we all here, bruce lee is not a god, donnie yen is really try hard, 36 chamber is not the best classic........., be honest to your self, do you really think a film is great? or because every one else say it's good? i like to be myself!
The film is a mess, it has talent but it does not go anywhere. As a reviewer you should write a detail description on why you enjoyed it because this review is inaccurate & a disgrace to true film fans.
Im still waiting to see a copy with good English subtitles to comment on the plot. The action is pretty good. Jija does the moves very well but her power is not believable. She needs to work on delivery of impact but other than that action is pretty good.

She got way better skills than those so-called expert, and she kicks more butt alone than Steven Seagal's total career. I just love this film, my favorite at moment!

Hahahaha, it is amazing that someone can claim Bruce Lee is horrible, despite the fact he invented a revolutionary martial art, and then claim the Twins, who have no training or skill at all, are experts. I am convinced his reviews are a joke.
I was tired and mistook yes for no on your review of "Shaolin Master Killer", you really missed the mark! I'm pleasantly surprised to agree with your review of "Invincible Pole Fighter"!
The Warlords (product link) Action/Adventure / War A must-see Jet Li movie with good story and action. Don't watch his movie called "War", because it's a waste of time. "The Warlords" is on par with "Fearless"!

This is a less than five star film, but not by much.
Struggle Through Death (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure I love this film--the best kicking ever. It's such a classic, highly recommended.
Police Story 4: First Strike / Mr. Nice Guy [DOUBLE FEATURE] (product link) Action/Adventure / Martial Arts 5 stars for "Mr. Nice Guy. I love this Jackie film: great fights and stunts, very funny, on par with his greatest films.
"First Strike" is more like a bonus, 3 stars for that, okay Jackie flick. Like the old saying, watch an average Hong Kong flick is still better than a mega Hollywood film!
The Martial Club (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure This is the best old-school kung fu ever--the fights are plenty, all of them are good. The ending is the best. This film is on par with "Heroes Of The East" and "Mad Monkey". A must-see!
Azumi (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Listen friend, whatever you do, this movie is a must-buy. Thank God they finally made a good movie from Japan. Forget about the rubbish like “Princess Blade” and “Hero”, this is the best movie I’ve seen recently. It reminds me of the old Jet Li, Jackie Chan films. I just can't help it to love this movie. There's no slow bits, action, storyline. The lead actress, Aya Ueto is so hot, her swordplay blows “Kill Bill” apart. She looks so cute in the movie. The final fight is so cool, she takes on the whole army! If you are a fan of the old school Jet Li movie like “Fist Of Legend”, “Tai Chi Master”, then this is a must. But, if you like “The Matrix”, “Crouching Tiger...”, that kind of movie, forget about it, there must be something wrong with you!

There are no similarities between this and old school Jet Li and Jackie Chan films. The final fight is ridiculous in the extreme. The only thing agreeable that you wrote is about Aya Ueto and how she looks.

You claim Secret Rivals was not real kung fu and gave it zero stars, yet you give the junk five stars. As for how she moves so fast, I guess you are unaware of movie technology that can speed up onscreen movement. The twins have zero kung fu skill.
Shadowless Sword (product link) Action/Adventure / Martial Arts This is the best martial art film Korea ever made. It would be one of my favorite. The story is nice and simple, what really amazing is the fight scenes.
This movie has lots of fights, I mean a LOT. From the beginning to the end. And all of them are good, there's not even one fight I don't like. Especially the lead actress from "Arahan"--she is just amazing to watch.
The only letdown of this film is the ending. It's a complete waste. The last fight is the only fight I did not enjoy. It's just like done by computer, then that's it, finish. I was wondering what the ????? Plus the ending could be better.
"Shadowless Sword" is an excellent movie. It could be a lot better if they create a better final, and a simple ending. Definitely worth your money, properly the best martial arts movie after "Tom Yum Goong". Highly recommended!!!!!

you know what, I did actually like this film. Fun and stupid!
This film was an early try at completing what might have been Bruce Lee's greatest film! The scenes with the real Bruce were not even complete. Its worth a look, there is a good Sammo and Bob Wall fight, but this is not a four and a half star film!
But you gave the box set 4 stars- I think your trying to make people mad or your confused about the star rating. Anyways your reviews are funny at least I enjoy them ya know.
The film Bruce Lee intended to make doesn't exist. This reconstruction/reimagining/re-something is nice to see, but it can't compare with his completed films.
Fist Of Fury: Sworn Revenge [SE 2-Disc Set] (product link) Action/Adventure / Martial Arts Highly recommended. Yeah, it's a TV series movie. So what? It's cheap, but Donnie really shines in this film. They were on a really tight budget, but they have so many great fight scenes, it's way better than some so-called kung fu flicks today. Get this series, you will like it!

The action choreography is about as good as one can achieve in a modestly-budgeted television series. No, it can't compare to a really good film: It isn't a film, but a pretty entertaining TV show.
Black Cat [1991] (product link) Action/Adventure / Girls With Guns Really good film. I just love the story. The original is always the best. There is such a big rip-off movie called "Naked Weapon", it's based on this movie. A must-see!
This film was based on the French version called La Femme Nikita, the American version was called The Point Of No Return. I agree with you, this is by far the best version for this particular plot!

200 Pounds Beauty (product link) Comedy / Romance This is a must-see film. I saw it in Beijing, China. It just makes you wanna' cry at the end. This is a great film if you want a romantic date. The story is okay, it just has some really sad parts, really makes you wanna' cry. I'm a tough guy, I say this is the only film that truly touched me!
Invisible Target (product link) Action/Adventure / Martial Arts Action-wise, excellent, almost a 5 out of 5. Jason Wu is great, but the story really let it down. Some bit of acting really give me the feeling of trying too hard. It could be a simple story, but they make it so difficult. If the movie was 90 minutes instead of 130 minites, it could be a classic. But the excellent action makes up for it. Two thumbs up for the action director, I think he coud be the next Yuen Wo Ping. Highly recommended!

This movie is a classic. The storyline is excellent. It has everything and was a very satisfying movie. It was the best HK action movie from last year.
Drunken Master 3 / Breakout From Oppression [DOUBLE FEATURE] (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure "Drunken Master 3": for no reason, I just love this film. It's so funny. Not that much fighting, but what's in it is definitely worth watching. I love the lead actor, Willie Chi. Also check out "Burning Paradise", another must see classic!

Crystal Hunt (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Donnie Yen made three b-grade movies in the 90s: "Holy Virgin", "Cheish On Fire", and "Crystal Hunt". This is the pick of the three, after watching all three of them. The other two are just unwatchable--totally budget. But this one suprised me. The martial arts in this movie are on par with "In The Line Of Duty", in my opinion--or even better. A must-see Donnie Yen flick!
The Restless (product link) Action/Adventure / Fantasy Best film recently from Korea. If you enjoy "Shadowless Sword", you will enjoy this. It's a bit different, this movie focuses more on special effects than real martial arts. First I did not really enjoy it. Then when it come to the end, when the main guy takes on a 1000-zombie army, man, it's worth the purchase price alone. So stylish and cool, trust me, it's definitely worth keeping. The end is a mix of "300", "The Matrix", and "Final Fantasy", so imagine how good that will be. Don't wait, order that copy today. Also see "Shadowless Sword" if you haven't seen it. Other recommended Korean martial arts films: "Arahan", "City Of Violence", "The Host", and "My Wife Is A Gangster 3". Trust me, I watch them all; they are all really good. Korea has started to make some really great martial arts movies now. Keep your fingers crossed for more Korea fu please!

Rush Hour 2 (product link) Action/Adventure / Martial Arts Comedy, action, this film has it all, worth collecting. A big improvement over the first film. It would be an instant 5 out 5 if there were more fight scenes at the end!
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (product link) Drama / Martial Arts Very good film, worth keeping, but the same problem with "Hero": not enough fights. The showdown is so weak, I wish they had a better showdown with good fights.
Arahan (product link) Action/Adventure / Comedy Very good, worth every penny, with really good fights, plus a really funny story. Go see "Shadowless Swords" after you seen this film!
as with my previous review, lot of people do not agree or hated, because i tell the truth, sure i never say bruce lee is not great, but he is just bit over rated as it seems, and not all of his film are good, that is the truth, like fist of fury, big boss, and way of the dragon, compare the fight to todays standard, it's very slow, the acting is cheap, and there is really nothing special. but bruce lee did show some good action in game of death and enter the dragon, that's why i give an higher rating. my piont of view is , bruce lee is an good martial art actor, he has no real fight record like mike tyson or mahamade ali, and beside of his movie, he proofed nothing that he can fight for real. movie and real fighting are so different, any one can act in kung fu film with little bit of training. but i never say bruce lee is not good, i always like him, but we should all treat him just like an normal human being, not an god, and he is never the toughest person ever lived, thanks!
