Bio: collect and watched every good kung fu movie out there, i start watch kung fu film when i was 3, so 20 years experience, collect over 1200 kung fu dvd. i call my self the true kung fu movie collector!i always tell the truth about kung fu film, that's the reason we all here, bruce lee is not a god, donnie yen is really try hard, 36 chamber is not the best classic........., be honest to your self, do you really think a film is great? or because every one else say it's good? i like to be myself!

I don't feel the main cast was capable of performing the necessary martial arts movements.

There are so many movies with much better acting, story, and action than this rubbish. Take my advice, if you are looking for a movie with cute girls, lots of blood and a interesting storyline, get – “Azumi”! You will thank me for that!
Shadowless Sword (product link) Action/Adventure / Martial Arts This is the best martial art film Korea ever made. It would be one of my favorite. The story is nice and simple, what really amazing is the fight scenes.
This movie has lots of fights, I mean a LOT. From the beginning to the end. And all of them are good, there's not even one fight I don't like. Especially the lead actress from "Arahan"--she is just amazing to watch.
The only letdown of this film is the ending. It's a complete waste. The last fight is the only fight I did not enjoy. It's just like done by computer, then that's it, finish. I was wondering what the ????? Plus the ending could be better.
"Shadowless Sword" is an excellent movie. It could be a lot better if they create a better final, and a simple ending. Definitely worth your money, properly the best martial arts movie after "Tom Yum Goong". Highly recommended!!!!!

You claim Secret Rivals was not real kung fu and gave it zero stars, yet you give the junk five stars. As for how she moves so fast, I guess you are unaware of movie technology that can speed up onscreen movement. The twins have zero kung fu skill.

"Fearless" IS better, but this is a much finer film than you say.
Have to agree with Sgt. T. on this one. You have to look at the film technology when the film was made. Old school kung fu stars had to really know their stuff, sfx was not as advanced.
Fearless is a newer film, of course it would be better action wise. This film was pretty good for the time it was made, you should be more tolerant on old school films or don't watch them.
All Men Are Brothers: Blood Of The Leopard (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Not bad, but nothing too spcial about this film. The lead actor really lacks martial art training. Buy this if you, just like me, got to have every kung fu film out there

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (product link) Drama / Martial Arts Very good film, worth keeping, but the same problem with "Hero": not enough fights. The showdown is so weak, I wish they had a better showdown with good fights.

This is a bit better than you say, and the other 36th Chamber films are much better. Your aesthetics are mysterious.
Dragon Fight (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Well this is Jet Li's worst film, but it's still better than other people's best. I bought it because I have to have every Jet Li DVD. If you are new to Jet Li films, don't watch this one first, try "Fist Of Legend" instead!
The Dragon From Russia (product link) Action/Adventure / Martial Arts Play old school kung fu, stupid story. There are a couple good fights, that's it. Worth a look for the fights only!
Drunken Monkey (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Good kung fu flick. I like Jason Wu, he was so fast. Well the story will make you sleep, so keep your remote handy. Only watch the last 2 fights, it's worth your every penny!
Drunken Tai Chi (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Love to see a young Donnie Yen. I bought this DVD twice, I love it. A slow showdown, but everything else is very good. Highly recommended, if you like tai chi!

No, there are no crabs involved here, and that's no crap. "Duel to the Death" is a well made film with good acting and choreography. Four stars, or thereabouts.
Your sanity called... it's lost and can't find it's way home. You might not like the wire-fu style, but to call this flick boring is just wrong. It's full of action.

Azumi (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Listen friend, whatever you do, this movie is a must-buy. Thank God they finally made a good movie from Japan. Forget about the rubbish like “Princess Blade” and “Hero”, this is the best movie I’ve seen recently. It reminds me of the old Jet Li, Jackie Chan films. I just can't help it to love this movie. There's no slow bits, action, storyline. The lead actress, Aya Ueto is so hot, her swordplay blows “Kill Bill” apart. She looks so cute in the movie. The final fight is so cool, she takes on the whole army! If you are a fan of the old school Jet Li movie like “Fist Of Legend”, “Tai Chi Master”, then this is a must. But, if you like “The Matrix”, “Crouching Tiger...”, that kind of movie, forget about it, there must be something wrong with you!

There are no similarities between this and old school Jet Li and Jackie Chan films. The final fight is ridiculous in the extreme. The only thing agreeable that you wrote is about Aya Ueto and how she looks.
The Martial Club (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure This is the best old-school kung fu ever--the fights are plenty, all of them are good. The ending is the best. This film is on par with "Heroes Of The East" and "Mad Monkey". A must-see!

"Invincible Pole Fighter" is better, but this is still quite a good film. The fight with the bandit (Lau Kar Leung himself) is good enough for at least 4 stars. The rest is good too!
Chinese Super Ninja (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Good old-school fights, needs a bit more storyline. And if they made this film on a bigger budget, would be great. I hope there is a remake of this classic!
