Black Belt (product link) Martial Arts / Drama I really enjoyed this martial arts flick. Very true to the art form. No wire assistance, just pure Karate talent! The story is simple but very effective, and all actors on this project were top notch. The fighting is A+ standard!! Only two downsides that are very minor:
1. The fight scenes could have been a little bit longer.
2. They should have left the final fight scene in color and not changed to black & white.
That said, anybody who loves martial arts or films in general will miss this little gem at their peril!!
Angry Ranger (product link) Action/Adventure / Crime I don't understand some of the other reviews, as these would put off any fan of hardcore kung fu action flix. Yes, this film is brutal, but you have to hand it to and appreciate Jackie Chan's Stuntmen in this movie who go out all blazing. I mean these guys worked hard in this movie. The producers definitely got their money's worth out of them!
Ben Lam gives a good performance (Also check Ben's performances in "Legend Of The Wolf", "Police Story 2", "Flashpoint", and "Long Arm Of The Law 2" (all very recommendable movies!) and kicks plenty of arses. There are some very good fight scenes.
So I'd recommend any fan who loves hard action to give it a go. I'm so glad this finally got a DVD release!

Sorry I didn't think anyone turned in a good performance. Too much violence for no reason is not entertaining.
City Of Darkness (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure If you like spectacular kick arse kung fu action reminiscent of the 80's HK action heyday, then this film is for you. It also stars one of the best villains, period: Billy Chow!!
I've been after this for film for over four years to add to my collection on DVD. The only other titles I'm desperate to see released on DVD are the following other kick arse movies of the same quality and genre: "License To Steal" (Yuen Biao and Joyce Godenzi), "Night Life Hero" (Max Mok), "Death Games" (Fan Siu Wong), "Red Zone" (Yu Rong-Guang), "Spooky Encounters 2" (Sammo Hung and Lam Ching Ying), "Spooky, Spooky" (AKA "Ghost Island") (Sammo Hung), and "Ghost Punting" (Sammo Hung). So if there are any DVD distributors out there who are thinking about releasing some quality kick arse flix, then the above titles come well recommended!
