To be honest, I wasn't sure if I'd like a feature length film with talking oranges, etc.; but after the first ten minutes, you forget you're watching little fruit puppets exchange dialogue.

Their world is much like ours--war and racism. It would be a fun movie to bounce off a wall during a house party. The making of the film was a happy little extra (there's just something about dudes in a mid-western basement building sets for talking fruit that makes me smile).

A few scenes in the beginning may be a bit too scary (yes, scary) for little ones, unless they tug at your sleeve for horror films--and you don't mind them jumping into bed with you when they have nightmares. The kids in this story are fun little actors and you'll wish you had a CJ7 of your very own when all is said and done.
