Yojimbo (product link) Drama / Action/Adventure "Yojimbo" is a 1961 samurai classic starring Toshiro Mifune (1920-1997). Several Occidental movies copy it: "A Fistful Of Dollars" starring Clint Eastwood, "Warrior And Sorceress" starring David Carradine, "Last Man Standing" starring Bruce Willis...
The basic plot is: a ronin comes to a town where two gangs are warring of control. He helps one gang, then helps the other, playing them against one another.
This movie is a classic of world movies, one of my nation's best. Everyone must see it.

I agree my friend! Toshiro Mifune has made many classics! This is one of his greatest!
Yes, "Yojimbo" and "sanjuro" are two of the best Japanese movies of all time. Japan itself copied some of toshiro Mifune's movies, e.g. in "Manji Mai 2", and the west copied some as you say. This movie is set near the end of the Edo period and samurai.
The Banquet (product link) Drama / Action/Adventure I am from China and like this movie. As some say, it copies "Hamlet" much, but the setting is China, not Denmark, obviously. Zhang Ziyi is so cute. She and I are similar in size I think. I never saw her nude before. She is a contrast to Gertrude of "Hamlet" in looking much younger and smaller. I recommend it to fans of Chinese fims. Zhang Siuje is always worth watching.

Yes, this is a good movie, and so is "Ran" that also copies Shakespeare somewhat. Zhang ZiYi is cute, and she is similar to you in the figure but not in the face. I own several of her movies among the 106 Chinese and 65 Japanese movies I own.
I born Japan, see some Chuinese movies, this one is good, copy "Hamlet", Japanese movie "Ran" copy "King Lear", both are good copies I think, bring Shakespeare-san at Asia.
