Ju-On: The Grudge (product link) Horror / Thriller I love the Japanese "Ju-On" movies series. If you understand the Japanese language and love really scary, realistic versions of "Ju-On", then you must watch the two video original V cinema versions of "Ju-On" (70 min. appearence of Chiaki Kuriyama) and "Ju-On 2" (76 min.) which are Japanese language-only DVDs. You will see the bits and pieces of clips from the original video in the US version "The Grudge 2" in the unrated version. I wish they would release the original video version in English and Chinese subtitles.
Ichi (product link) Martial Arts / Drama I love Haruka Ayase, who played Ichi as blind woman. I love the story and action. Just sit back and enjoy Japanese entertainment. I love this different version of Ichi the best from all other TV series or movies of Zatoichi.
I love the "Assassins 2009". The Hisatsu series is the best Japanese TV series ever made. I love Hisatsu series since 1972 Hitsatsu Shiokini when Mondo Nakamura first appeared in the series. I love the Mondo Nakamura character as well as Makoto Fujita acting his role in the Hisatsu series on the Japanese DVD version with no subtitle (Hisatsu Shiokinin, Shitomenin, Shigotoyakagyo, Shigyonin, Shin Shiokinin, Edo Professional Shobainin, Shigotonin, Shin Shigotonin, Shiotnin 3-5 & Gekitotsu) which stories had been connected and plotted well. I am happy that I am bilingual in Japanese and English because I came to the US when I was 13 years old in 1973. I love the Hisatu series because it has a human story with a dark sense of humur, showing the dark side of assassins' lifestyle as well as the comedic side of Mondo's relationship with his wife and mother-in-law. It has a simple plot but is really effective.
Innocent Love (product link) TV Shows/Movies / Drama I love the story as much as the actors, Maki Horita and Yuki Uchida. Overall an outstanding Japanese movie--find out how prejudiced Japanese society is compared to the USA. If someone bad is in your family, the whole family is considered as bad as criminals--even if you do not commit any crime. No second chance. Learn from your mistakes to improve yourself and make yourself a better person. This is reason I love the USA. You have to watch this Japanese drama, so have fun and enjoy.
Red Cliff 2: The Decisive Battle (product link) Drama / Historical I just fell in love with the outstanding "Red Cliff" movies. You just have to watch and enjoy and be overwhelmed by them. I have "Red Cliff", "A Battle of Wits", "Three Kingdoms: Resurrection Of The Dragon", and also "An Empress And The Warrior". I love playing PS2 "Dynasty Warrior". I have watched the whole 84 episodes of the TV version of "Romance of The Three Kingdoms" in Cantonese language with subtitles. So far all the movies or dramas of "Three Kingdoms" are all outstanding. I love movies made from Chinese history. I love them as much as Japanese NHK history dramas or samurai movies.
Rec (product link) Horror / Thriller "Quarantine" originates from "[Rec]". If you love or are scared by watching "Quarantine", then you must watch "[Rec]" in the original Spanish language version with English subtitles. I especially love part where the Japanese husband and wife who speak Japanese and Spanish quarrel. I cannot wait until "Rec 2".
Twentieth Century Boys (product link) Fantasy / Science Fiction I read the original Japanese version of the "Twentieth Century Boys" manga comic books. The movie is excellent, with well known actors and actresses, however the original Japanese manga is outstanding. If you get a chance, you must read "Twentieth Century Boys" in the original Japanese version of this manga comic book. As they say, the original is always better.

Long Vacation (product link) TV Shows/Movies / Romance Outstanding cast (Takuya Kimura, Tomoko Yamaguchi, Takako Matsu, Yuu Takenouchi, Ryou, Ryouko Hirosue, etc.) with really interesting human relationships and love dramas, with a lot of twists in the story. Everybody needs a long vacation in life. So relax and start back up again.

Engine (product link) TV Shows/Movies / Romance Outstanding acting by Takuya Kimura and Koyuki. Really interesting story about professional auto racers that tries to be down to earth and realistic about them.
Shadow Warriors: The Complete First Season [7-Disc Set] (product link) TV Shows/Movies / Martial Arts Sonny Chiba is always an outstanding actor as well as stuntman of Japan since the 1970's. I loved his classic TV drama. He loves his movies and dramas. Sonny Chiba appeared in Furinkazan NHK TV samurai jidaigeki drama also, however too bad it is currently available in Japanese with Chinese subtitles and not English subtitles.
Gokusen 2 (product link) TV Shows/Movies / Comedy I love the "Gokusen" series. This second series is a light hearted comedy about the Japanese school system and Yakuza. If you loved Yukie Nakama's acting in "Trick", "Komoyugatsuji", and other series, you will love this "Gokusen" TV drama. I enjoyed watching this fun series. The second series is more funny and entertaining than the first.
