The Brave Archer 2 (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure I found this film a little hard to follow upon first viewing. Not much action, but some decent fights thrown in here and there, with drama, kung fu superpowers, and some female heroes. There is a dumb goofy lady in this that is hot, and is comical at times. She must have gotten some weird vaccine in her. I really enjoyed the soundtrack, settings, and costumes which take you to another land. If you're a Fu Sheng fan and want to see a continuation of the "Brave Archer" series, then it won't hurt to grab this one.
The Battle Wizard (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Silly, cheesy, goofy, stringy, and mediocre. The bad guy in this is a riot. Totally hilarious! What a goofball charachter. Check this out if you want a strange Shaw movie.
Spooky Encounters (product link) Ghost / Martial Arts If you need a dose of kung fu mixed with some zombie Halloween film tricks, then this film does it. Why? Because it stars overweight kung fu acrobat Sammo Hung, who gets the crap scared out of him by zombie ghosts all night. Using every last ounce of skill, Sammo takes on some of the scariest nights of his life while trying to survive with his life. This film is lots of fun, especially for Halloween. So grab it up before the ghosts do.
Shaolin And Wu Tang (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Directed by martial arts star Gordon Liu. A decent, passable kung fu movie about another tale of Shaolin vs .Wu Tang. Not the best, but surely not the worst. A must for Gordon Liu fans.

Don't agree this film was stupid. Plus I don't need justification from others to tell me if a film is good or bad. I perfer to see it for myself. I'll hate and vituperate whatever I please.
Mr. Vampire (product link) Horror / Comedy Light on martial arts action, light on scare factor. If you want something with a little spook to it, with cheesy zombies and some black magic mixed with some acrobatics fighting, then this is your voodoo. Scooby Doo, where are you?
The Bride With White Hair (product link) Martial Arts / Fantasy "The Bride With White Hair" is a strange love story told in an exaggerated, wuxia fantasy world. Not much action, but interesting story with some cool elements, turns, and twists. The action displayed is gruesome and over the top, which adds to the fun. Most fights are with weapons and magic, they mention kung fu but never display any shapes or forms of hand to hand. There's a very long, cheesy love scene that was kinda' funny, and the bad guy in this is hilarious! So if you're into strange fantasy swordplay flicks, this may be your pot of gold.
The Kid With The Golden Arm (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Mediocre Venoms film. It seemed a bit rushed, more like a play than a film. Still, it was fun to watch even though the film could be quite sloppy at times.

i loved this film too death but your point of view is admirable
Pray For Death [1985] (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Pretty good ninja movie. SHO KOSUGI puts on an emotional performance, topped with raging revenge as he watches his dreams crumble right before his eyes. Could have had more explosive fight scenes in this, but this is a 1985 ninja flick by an American director. The bad guys in this movie are grumpy old Italian mobsters, so it wasn't really challenging for Sho, who had no trouble slicing, dicing and killing the lame bastards--who kind of reminded me of the Joker's henchmen in "Batman". Until next time...fulfill your revenge!
Five Deadly Venoms (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Another worthy addition to the collection. The movie may be a little slow in kung fu parts at times, but the kung fu at the end of this film is slick and makes up for it. Introduces some new forms of exotic kung fu, like lizard, scorpion, and centipede style.

can't say the 31/2 is a fair score but I'll give you a yes regardless.
The Young Master (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure If you want to see one of the longest last boss battles in kung fu history, then this is it. A 30-minute fight tops off this Chan classic. Fans of the genre, don't hesitate; Mr. Chan proves himself rightfully here.
Duel To The Death (product link) Action/Adventure / Swordplay/Sword(s) Fantastic ninja movie, but I hated the ending--though some may love it. Fans of exaggerated sword fighting with ninjas will delve deep into this fantasy world. Take a chance to see who is victorious.
The Iron Monkey [1977] (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure The mighty Chen Kwan Tai stars as an ex-gambler/new Shaolin student who has one thing on his mind, and that's revenge on his murdered family! The Shaolin monks don't trust him but still take him in and send him to the bitter monk who trains the iron monkey fist, which is quite brutal. The film has a great tone, good story and some good fights. As a fan of Chen Kwan Tai films, this is another classic to look into.

Chen Kuan Tai's acting and direction are quite good. His moves film very effectively.
Shaolin Temple Against Lama [5-Disc Set] (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Another splendid action-packed martial arts extravaganza packed with brutality, blistering fights, and the Shaolin temple!
Alexander Lo Rei stars, and kicks major ass in this one. He proves to be a skilled martial artist-actor who is more than capable of taking on multiple opponents with style! Fans of the genre enjoy!
One Man Army [1980] (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure A tale from Taiwan much like the "Lone Wolf And Cub" series, but slightly different. Yue Hua plays a government assassin who is out to avenge his brother's killers. He ends up taking his very young nephew with him on his dangerous suicide mission; along the way he witnesses much bloodshed and death. He even warns the kid he might die, but he faithfully tags along for a life-threatening ride.
Good fight scenes with kung fu, outrageous moves, and weapons battles. High quality flick with good atmosphere and interesting tough characters. Won't hurt to pick this one up if you're in the mood for an interesting classic in the genre.
The Fist, The Kicks, And The Evils (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Bruce Liang stars as a crane style kung fu expert who's out for revenge on an evil gang who kills his master/ family.
The movie impresses with good fights and acrobatic skills from Liang. I enjoyed Bolo's performance as the cruel bad guy--good display of fu from him as well. Easy plot, some goofy bad guy charachters with a few comedy parts that weren't needed. The great martial arts fighting choreography kept me entertained throughout. Bruce Liang proves he is not just the guy down the street, this man is a fighter! Good movie for a good price.

Bruce Liang's moves have always been extremely good, and this is a fine showcase.
Ichi (product link) Martial Arts / Drama Pretty good movie. Fights of slashing gore, sad charachters, and bloody chaotic battles. ICHI will capture your heart and open your eyes with her deadly skills with the blade, and her brave courage will have you cheering for her to win until the end. Especially recommended for fans of the "Zatoichi The Blind Swordsman" series.
Five Shaolin Masters (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Another bone-shattering kung fu classic by legendary director Chang Cheh. This film is loaded with Shaw stars and nonstop fighting action. The story is about five remaining Shaolin brothers who want to get revenge for their dead brothers who were killed by Manchu bastards. The film builds up nicely and ends with a cool last boss fight. My complaint is that some of the choreography could have been sharper and more precise, but what we end up with is a solid Shaw cult classic nonetheless!
The Invincible Armour (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure This is one powerhouse of a kung fu flick! Tons of fight scenes--actually you get an overload of fu fighting in this one--and suprisingly good epic story. The sets are very natural--not a huge budget used on this one, but what they use works well. Contains some very good martial arts actors like John Liu and Hwang Jang Lee, who perform great, skilled performances and acrobatics displays. So if you feel the urge to overdose on fu fighting fanfare, this flick is the drug to pick.
The Street Fighter (product link) Action/Adventure / Martial Arts Sonny Chiba plays a karate madman who is hellbent on destroying his crime boss man who turns his back on him. Passionate kill scenes add to the outrageousness of Chiba's war cries of pain and death. Classic Chiba flick, this is one man not to be double crossed!
Deadly Silver Spear (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Good movie. Jimmy Wang Yu stars as a silver spear-wielding assassin who kills for money. The film is not real big on martial arts but does display some. It's more of a weapons and gadgets fighting film, but the movie has some cool charachters, a decent storyline, and some grim atmosphere at times. So if you're a big fan of weapons fighting flix, then this movie will be an addition to pick.
Shaolin Kung Fu Mystagogue (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Very worthy movie of Shaolin. The film was great. Check out this awesome fu flick now, before this cult classic is gone--if you want to see 18th form, that is.
The Thundering Mantis (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Wow! This movie had some very interesting twists and turns. I recommend this film to any that like extreme kung fu flicks, very bloody at times. Don't be fooled, this film is not as innocent as you may think at first.
Invincible Obsessed Fighter [Ground Zero] (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Kung fu mayhem, crazy all-out off-the-wall speed battles. This one is vicious with an epic final fu battle.
All Men Are Brothers (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure What can I say? The Shaw Brothers continue to kick asses with this one. This film is jam packed with fighting scenes, and I have never witnessed so many deaths in one movie! This movie is a true kung fu classic, it's all out war in this film. You will have to check it out for yourself. If you like axes, spears, swords, fights, and all out warfare you will have to witness this Shaw Brothers classic yourself.
7-Man Army (product link) Martial Arts / War This movie should have been called "7 Chinese Rambos", because these soldiers mean killing--and business is good.
This movie tells of the true events of a 7-man Chinese fighting squad who singlehandedly defeated over 20,000 Japanese troops and 50 tanks during the invasion of Pa Tou Lou Tzu on the Great Wall in 1933. The film has an excellent all-star cast and tons of fighting/action scenes that keep the adrenaline level high. Chang Cheh, of all directors, directed this war epic and surpassed my expectations. He indeed did. He even managed to squeeze in a few cool kung fu fighting scenes that fit in nicely. This film has heart and that's what I loved about it. The movie has older special effects from the '70s but still manages to get the point across nicely. Fans of historic action war dramas will indeed eat this ration up.
The Shaolin Avengers [1976] (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Fu-Sheng and Chi Kuan Chun destroy in this Shaw classic. Pure awesomeness, with a very painful ending. Rush to get this one!

One of the best pairings of Fu-Sheng and Chi Kuan-Chun! Great movie!
The Fearless Hyena (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure One of Jackie's kick ass films in his youthful glory. Jackie shows he can get crazy if you push him too far. "Fearless Hyena" is a great film from Jackie in his youthful prime. If you want to see a classic Chan film, look no further, this is chief.
An upsetting and disturbing betrayal of the forgotten holocaust, AKA The Nanking Massacre. This film portrays the Japanese as vicious murderers of the Chinese during the invasion of Nanking. The film goes way beyond your standard approach of filmmaking and breaks realism barriers with shocking portrayals of actual war crimes being committed with actual archival footage to back up most of the scenes. The film is good at portraying emotions from the characters, and some very disturbing nauseating scenes that may upset or make some people sick to the stomach. The film is tarnished by some small annoyances like blending in subtitles in certain parts, and abrupt subtitles, but the film is still viewable.
I warn viewers now that this film is extremely graphic and over the top. One of my complaints about the film is I wish it showed more Chinese fighting back, but it's all about Japanese domination, cruelty, hatred, violence, and especially death.
Those that don't like upsetting films should pass. Those that enjoy the realism and events of history regardless of brutality should check into this frightening film.
Disciples Of Shaolin Temple (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Amazing, just amazing! I discovered this diamond in the rough by chance, and I can tell you my instincts served me well. This is kung fu perfection of the highest quality! A great movie of the Shaolin Temple with spectacular characters, story, settings, and choreography. Another hidden gem that must not be ignored! Haul it in today!
This film has nothing to do with Django. The real title should be "SE SEI VIVO SPARO" ("IF YOU LIVE SHOOT"). The distributors decided to put the word "Django" in there just to make a sale. The great director Giulio Questi was not happy about this.
A very controversial graphic film for 1967, with shocking western violence and some extreme scenes for back then. The Italian Tomas Milian stars as a double crossed bandit who is saved and given another chance at life. He somehow ends up in a freaky town of greedy strangers called "the unhappy place". This is when the film becomes strange in a cool way, a "Twilight Zone" feel kicks in mixed with a atmospheric western setting. Lots of twists and turns throughout the plot kept me interested the whole time.
This film is epic and was ahead of its time. It could have been released the other day. Aside for a few special effects complaints, it's still pretty damn convincing. If you're looking for a unique spaghetti western with a twist, look no further. This film is miner's gold!
Five Fingers Of Death (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Solid story, good fights, more realistic mixed with some exaggerated throws, jumps, etc. Very bloody at times, and has some shocking gore scenes. This movie really sucked me in and took me on a great fun ride of another slick Shaw Bros. kung fu flick. This one has a different take on things the way things are filmed, but this is what helps make this one unique from the others. The ending I thought was awesome, overall a gem in its own right. Pick it up or suffer an Iron Palm blow.

Lo Lieh's action moves are good, and his acting excellent in this seminal (and very entertaining) film.
The Return Of Master Killer (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure I really enjoyed this classic Shaw Brothers flick starring master Gordon Liu. Cool story and rad fights lead this film into the halls of legendary kung fu film fandom. Classic material here not to be passed up!
Police Story (product link) Martial Arts / Comedy This film is a blast! "Police Story" breaks ground with insane death-defying stunts, intense street fight scenes, some comedy, and a highly energetic Jackie Chan. This movie proves Jackie Chan made some amazing films outside of Hollywood, films that aren't watered down in any way. After I saw this film I respected Jackie more in the movie world, especially that he directed the film too! Some of the stunts they pull off are practically suicidal, and the fights are hard hitting! Tony Jaa could take a note or two from Chan. This film will remind you why Jackie is highly regarded in the martial arts/action stunt world. So if you need a dose of entertainment, I highly recommend picking this one up!

I agree on all points! Jackie also sings the theme song!
Provides tons of fights, mild gore, little comedy, colorful settings, and cool characters. This is one of Mr. Li's early films, when he was very youthful, agile, and acrobatic. Mr. Li plays a good hearted, rebellious Shaolin monk who is on a mission to kill a ruler. On the way he meets others sent on the same mission; a certain ornament he owns may link him to the strangers' paths.
If you need to spice up your kung fu collection with quality, this is another Shaw Brothers gem from the past you must not pass up.
